I have a Lexus Rx400h, the engine won't start. the lights, including dashboard lights, aircon, radio are on, just won't go to ready and start

Can you ensure the car is in park?Move lever to D and then back into Park and see what happens.I have heard with this particular model, we have the environmentally unfriendly RX 330, that the batteries lack of charge may play havock with the electrics in these cars.I religously charge my battery every six months with a smart charger so its always in peak, I also find a quick zap at the first cold snap of autumn / winter gives us trouble free motoring.

I removed the brake pads (to check out thickness)

have the dealer run a test on the system and see what trouble codes show up, that will tell u where to look for the problem, it makes no sense why you have no brakes, so this test is essential.

I was setting up bluetooth when suddenly the screen went blank and it wont start

Check with your manual to see if there is a radio reset code that needs to be entered to restore operation. Also check with the dealer to cover all bases.

Lexus RX400h message 'Check Hybrid

Hi, you have done something that is not recommended. Avoid disconnecting the battery because it erases the system info that operates like our brain of the car. There may be shortcuts but I recon you going to a dealer and reloading the system info. If your battery is low it is a very good move to replace with a new one before it is too late. It is a common problem with Lexus RX H.

My car will not start..."check

This really can't be diagnosed just by reading a description of the problem. The electrical systems on modern cars, especially hybrids, are very complicated. Your best bet is to tow the car to a reputable shop qualified to work on hybrids, or the dealer. Good luck.

Excessive tire wear ... 15,000

The only way a tire can wear out prematurely on the inside in my opinion is if you were driving around with low tire pressure for an extended period of time. Maybe they are saying the tires have what we mechanics call dryrot ? The sun dries the rubber and silicates causing cracks in the tire.I can only give you an opinion in this case without actually inspecting the tires myself off of the rim. Sorry, Hope that helps ? feel free to ask for clarification.

I hear a single knock in drivers side wheel area

I would have your ABS system checked out. If it is just one KNOCK, it could be your ABS starting to engage. If it were pad / rotor problems, it would be a continuous knock until you stopped.

2006 Lexus IS250 code P0348 help

It is definitely a cam problem. Was your replacement cam sensor OEM Japanese Denso, Made in China or Made in Mexico? Never go cheap on sensors. DTC P0348 stands for Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High Bank 2. This code triggers when the signal coming from the CMP sensor located in bank #1 is either missing or inconsistent. The CMP sensor measures the speed and position of the engine's camshaft. Sep 29, 2023

Looking for the audio amplifier in a Lexus LX470 1998. It is not under the seat as mentioned in the manual

If you can't find the audio amplifier under the seat as mentioned in the manual, there are a few other places you might want to check:
  1. Trunk area: Some Lexus LX470 models have the audio amplifier located in the trunk area, often mounted on the side panels or near the rear speakers.
  2. Behind the dashboard: In some vehicles, especially those with more complex audio systems, the amplifier may be located behind the dashboard or near the head unit. You may need to remove some panels to access it.
  3. Under the center console: Occasionally, car manufacturers install amplifiers under the center console or beneath other interior panels. This location keeps the amplifier hidden and can save space in the trunk or under the seats.
  4. Behind the glove compartment: Sometimes, especially in luxury vehicles like Lexus, the amplifier may be tucked away behind the glove compartment. Removing the glove compartment may give you access to the amplifier.
If you still can't locate the amplifier after checking these areas, you may need to consult with a professional car audio technician or refer to specific technical documentation for your vehicle model. They may have insights or access to resources that can help you pinpoint the exact location of the amplifier.
