hydraulic problems and clutch problems are most noticeable when selecting first and reverse unless there is still air in the system there may be a problem in the clutch plate release if you didn't remove the protective covering from the pressure plate by using a degreaser or other cleaner before installing lastly , what oil was used in the transmission the manufacturer recommends a light weight straight mineral oil I personally use gear oil 80-90 and I have no problems in selection If you used oep 80-90 diff oil that may be preventing the synchro rings from properly engaging or if the oil is too light, there could be a problem with the shafts spinning fast and not slowing down for the synchro rings to operate properly

Coil plugs, (coil pack?), are usually on the top of the engine connected to the spark plugs. The crank sensor is located on the bottom section of the engine usually somewhere near the bottom pulley that the timing belt goes around.

Hi Jacky Anything on a vehicle making loud noises wont be healthy and yes may cause damage. A couple of questions. Is this a problem that has just occurred? If so have you had any work carried out just prior to this fault? Have you had any tyres or wheels changed. Are all the wheels and tyres the same on front and rear axles? If you are unable to think of any changes book it into Mitsubishi as this fault needs to be fixed before it causes to much damage. Good luck
