Hi im looking for the location of my transferer case control module.on my 98 chevy tahoe 4x4 and how to easy removed it
The transfer case control module on a 1998 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 is typically located under the driver's side of the dash, near the steering column. To remove it, you will need to first locate the module and then disconnect the electrical connectors. Then you will need to remove any mounting bolts or screws that are holding the module in place. Once those are removed, you should be able to gently pull the module out. It may be helpful to consult your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and diagrams to locate and remove the module. It is also recommended to get it check by a professional mechanic, as the problem might be other than the module itself.

My 2003 Chevrolet ASTRO van the front heat works and blows fine but the rear heater blows cold only
There could be a few possible causes for the rear heater not blowing hot air in your 2003 Chevrolet ASTRO van. Here are a few things you could check:
- Make sure that the rear heater control valve is fully open. This valve is located near the heater core and controls the flow of coolant to the rear heater.
- Check the coolant level in the radiator. If the coolant level is low, the heater may not be able to produce hot air.
- Check for any leaks in the coolant system. If the system is leaking, it may not have enough coolant to produce hot air.
- Check the thermostat. If the thermostat is stuck closed, it may not be allowing enough coolant to flow through the system to produce hot air.
If these steps do not help, it is possible that there is a problem with the heater core itself, or with other components of the heating system. It may be necessary to have a mechanic diagnose and repair the issue.
My 1989 Chevrolet S10 4.3 starts fine but after 15 or 20 minutes of it running it will flood out if I disconnect one of the injectors it will crank up and run
It sounds like your 1989 Chevrolet S10 may have a problem with the fuel injectors or the fuel system. When you disconnect one of the injectors and the engine starts, it suggests that one or more of the injectors may be stuck open and flooding the engine with fuel. This could be caused by a malfunctioning injector, a problem with the fuel pressure regulator, or a
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Inspect the fuel injectors for any signs of damage or malfunction. The injectors may need to be cleaned or replaced if they are not functioning properly.
- Check the fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge. The fuel pressure should be within the manufacturer's specified range. If the pressure is too high, it could be caused by a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
- Replace the fuel filter if it is clogged or dirty. A clogged fuel filter can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine and cause starting and running problems.
- Check the control panel for any error codes or messages that may indicate the cause of the issue.
What is the diameter of a freeze plug in the block on a 6.0 Chevrolet Escalade motor
The diameter of the freeze plug in the block of a 6.0 liter Chevrolet Escalade motor is approximately 1.75 inches. However, it is important to note that the size of the freeze plug may vary slightly depending on the specific model and year of the vehicle. It is always best to consult a repair manual or the manufacturer's specifications for the exact dimensions of the freeze plug in your particular vehicle.
Can I replace a 5 speed transmission with an automatic transmission for a 1992 Chevrolet ck 1500
It is generally not possible to replace a manual transmission with an automatic transmission in a vehicle. This is because the two types of transmissions have different internal components and use different methods of transmitting power from the engine to the wheels. In order to replace a manual transmission with an automatic transmission, you would need to make significant modifications to the vehicle's drivetrain and possibly to the engine as well.
Additionally, the cost and complexity of such a conversion would likely be much higher than simply replacing the existing transmission with a new manual transmission. In most cases, it is more practical to repair or replace the existing manual transmission rather than attempting a conversion to an automatic transmission
Do I need to get a garage reset .
It is possible that the warning light is still on because there is an issue with the fuel system that has not been resolved. Bleeding the water from the fuel filter and changing the filter itself may not necessarily fix the problem, depending on the cause of the issue.
If you have already tried disconnecting the battery and the warning light is still on, it may be necessary to have the car diagnosed by a mechanic to determine the cause of the problem. The mechanic may need to use diagnostic equipment to read any fault codes stored in the car's computer system, which can help identify the problem. Once the issue has been identified, the mechanic can advise you on the necessary repairs and whether or not the warning light will need to be reset. It is generally a good idea to have a professional mechanic diagnose and repair any issues with your car, as attempting to fix problems yourself can be risky and may cause further damage if done incorrectly.
2012 chevrolet traverse 3.6 what reads the rpm signal and from there how does the tachometer read it
Tachometer
The IPC displays the engine speed as determined by the ECM. The IPC receives a serial data message from the ECM indicating the engine speed. The ECM transmits the engine speed to the body control module (BCM) via the serial data circuit. The BCM then transmits the engine speed to the IPC via the serial data circuit. The tachometer defaults to 0 RPM if:
• The ECM detects a malfunction in the engine speed sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of serial data communications with the BCM.
• The BCM detects a loss of serial data communications with the ECM.

also fixing cars with new parts prevents getting stranded in the snow at 1am. so how things are fixed is based on how serious you drive the car. (and how far) (damaged wires can fail later after being jury rigged.
drive by wire DBW or throttle by wire, will fail,
any time the 4 throttle sensors do no agree.. ( all 4)
for any reason what so ever. outputs , grounds or 5vdc power.
or worse Intermittent. or only fails hot. see?
the DTC only tells you it failed, a tech uses a meter to test it or scope..
some shops (more serious) replace it all, TB and Pedal Assembly
labor is expensive for sure 2 or 3 comebacks and the owner stranded 3 time 3 times towed to a shop, every time car in limphome 20mph max. (and no freeway/turnpike use that slow)
this is just one idea here,
there are ways to fix wires that fail using RTV inside heat shrink tubing and soldered perfect.some use tape and it fails next week.
