Toyota yaris doesnt pick up speed from stationary
slow pick up can be related to the fuel filter or pump and even the fuel regulator. if you are driving at a steady speed and you feel as though you keep having to add more throttle it can be one or all of these. and even some times the air filter is a bit blocked.
other related parts that can cause slow pick up are leaking exhaust gasses from the manifold. ie when engine is cold it runs fine no problems then when the engine is up to temperature you lose power as you need to pick up. timing can do the same thing when it cold the timing is right and when warm its slightly out this will make the fuel and spark mix out of sync will also flood the engine with more fuel and you should notice this on the spark plugs. it can also be a vacuum line leaking. if its a 1999 model you may have a vacuum leak small cracks in the rubbers on the intake feeds or on the other ends where they go to devices this would make changes to the engine fast idle or idle drop erratic revup. hope these are helpful for you.
