dont use stealerships find a local shop with ASE badges on the wall and all mechanics sleeves. the dealer will charge you $25 for a single spark plug. why do that? why get ripped off..... and $125 hr labor. are you rich,? intermittent are hard to find.as they say" if it ain't broke, you can't fix it" appliesbut in truth, we lay in traps to find this.this is true with all machines, not just sx4facts: (random no starts) but always cranks fast.only fails cold engine. never hot. (does restarts hot work?)seems yes.seems you have full 12vdc power at all times.seems the engine is ok. as it is not heat rlelated or the classic hot soak fails.so what is it.well, its 1 of these.1: lost spark, simple tests, do so when failed.2: bad fueling. no year car told no country, , why not Ask Suzuki actual this, they designed it so they do know. what is the reason? to know this may ECU (PCM/TCM) now modern use the cars VIN # stored in the PCM, and programming to match the car. for sure tell why and ask them the PCm HASa label and any S/N would be there did you look first?

The whole unit has to come out anyway to repair the touch screen. For the amount of work involved it will probably be easier to just replaced the whole unit rather than just the touch screen. You will need to strip out the whole centre console to access the unit from the back to get it out.

Could be an open fuse or a defective headlight switch

Unfortunately, how good an OBD2 scanner is often depends on how much it cost to buy! The cheapest scanners usually only scan for the most common trouble codes. The much more expensive ones tend to cover much more detailed lists of codes. Some can be set to work on specific vehicle makers. I have a scanner that I paid nearly £200 for. There are certain codes that will only be readable on a Dealership system but these tend to be the more serious issues.

There's this website www.reliable-store.com They have books on ALL vehicles. it covers wiring diagrams, electrical diagrams, fuse diagram, torque specs, PCV, error codes, fault codes, service info, repair info, parts info, owner's/service/repair/parts/maintenance manuals etc everything totally.. I have 1987 toyota 4runner model and I keep servicing and when needed repair it on my own. worth it !!!
