Engine timing is done electronically. It is based on Cylinder 1 being a few degrees before TDC (Top Dead Centre of firing stroke). Valve Timing is set using marks when you change the timing belt or chain. That is set with Piston 1 at TDC on FIRING stroke. Here is the firing order. Did you examine the sealing surface for corrosion and pitting?? That is likely why it is leaking. You can try adding some RTV sealant to the O ring, that will fill the pits and most likely seal it up.

if you put the fluid in then when started it should fill the converter, i always when filling the trans i put 3or 4 quarts in then I put it through the gears and back in park and recheck untill full i do this untill it's full you might try it to see if it works for you

Is there a SECURITY light lit on the dash ? All anti-theft systems warn you some how if a problem is present ! The fuel pump only comes on for two seconds with key on ! When cranking the engine over if a crank pulse is see by the engine computer it will energize the relay turning on the fuel pump ! You have to check the fuel pump electrical circuit from the fuel pump relay !

on USA cars, the EPA made the engineers move it to the tank. if not found, guess where it is,,, it can only be 2 places. the line engine to tank or in the tank. they did this to reduce fuel heating...
