Clio 2000 16v tbelt marks
simple they are on the timing belt for this model if i remember rightly ,white lines ?? No thats the earlier models this is the one with no keyway on the crank ,special tool right hand side of the block just in front of the bellhousing ,remove the bolt and screw a special length bolt in to locate TDC then another special tool to locate the cams as the slot on the back of the cams isnt flush with the head but at a angle of about 30? ,last one i done i remove a injector and fount TDC with my long screwdriver down the hole then aligned the cams lobes on no1 to where i knew then should be then turned engine over by hand to ensure the valves cleared .Another tip drill and tap a thread into the bell housing in line with the ring gear 10mm then a bolt with the end ground to a point screwed in to lock the crankshaft then tighten the bottom pulley bolt with a 80cm bar and make sure it has at least 150lbs on it or the pulley will turn at high speed on the motorway and crunch all your valves gone again.
