no no just the gearbox and one cv joint just put a jack under the engine and lift it a little so that you dont damage the engine mountains

The fact that all your electrics disappeared including all dashboard lights indicates a faulty battery/connection.

Check the battery terminals for cleanliness and tightness. Check the black earth lead for cleanliness and tightness where it connects to the engine block/bodywork. Try adding an extra black battery lead - connect it to a suitable point on the engine or bodywork

i think their are some bolts inside the boot and the palstic wheel arches have some screws

check the carbon build up on the starter motor...check charging voltage...check battery..some new batteries can be faulty..
