Hello. It seems one or more of your car's 'fuel injectors' is/are 'flooding' your cars engine. The excess fuel 'ignites'; making the engine 'race' at high engine speed yet it won't accelerate. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Do you hear it click or do anything when the release button is pushed? If not remove the inside trim panel and do a manual latch release so you can diagnose the issue.
It means the problem lies somewhere from the steering horn pad and underneath it. Most of the time the spiral cable is the culprit, such as an open circuit in one or more coil springs. Along with this problem, you may or may not have airbag light issues on your meter display. In any case, that area of steering need to be opened and checked for wiring or connector faults, and confirm the continuity of the spiral cables before buying a new one.
Those light's are controlled by the BCM - body control module , do you know what that is ? Do you know how to test those type electrical circuit's using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Viewing wiring diagrams to know what wires to test ?
Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make ,model an engine size. Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click on interior lighting. Click the search button then click the blue link .Scroll down to the #4 diagram . Looking at the diagram you will see the step/ puddle lamps an the BCM .
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
Looking to see if BCM has any codes stored would be a good idea too , means dealer .
The overhead console on our 2008 Nissan Armada w/entertainment system is also coming off (at the back, where it's secured by clips and not by screws like the rest of the console). Dealer told me today that it cannot be repaired and that I must replace the entire console, including the DVD screen and rear controls. I'm raising the BS flag! We purchased the Security Plus Gold Preferred extended warranty (we have yet to find a component that we have needed replaced that has been covered, so beware. Surprisingly, it covers things like the oil dipstick, and we all know that those go bad all of the time). Going to have a chat with Nissan tomorrow. More to follow...
I would check charging system, alternator, voltage regulator and good be a bad battery take it to auto zone/ advance they will test your charging system for free
1) spark plugs
2) Ignition coils
3) Low fuel pressure, bad Fuel filter (it's inside fuel tank with Fuel pump)
4) Low Fuel pressure, damaged fuel pump (inside fuel pump)
5) check for Fuel Pump Relay on PDMI. There are several issues with that relay. You can swap with fog light relay (its located also on PDMI) to check for damage.
