Usually the mystery misfire on a single cylinder is a bad distributor wire. It can sometimes be seen arcing to ground at night & sometimes you can see a small pin head sized discoloration on the wire. It could also be oil around a spark plug needing the surrounding rubber seals replaced. Take it apart & figure it out. Good luck

You may have a short that will have to be traced. I would have gone for the electrical ignition switch and checked the linkage on the switch to the key cylinder, if not there then sounds like a short or a bad ground

you're going into limp mode. If you have no compression you most likely have a bad valve and the head will need to come off and have some new valves put in.

Have you done a cylinder compression test. If so what pressures?

Try fuses and try disconnecting battery for 20 mins, make sure u have radio code first.

Check that your radiator fan is working if not check fan belt if it has one , if not check fuse . Next suggestion if all these are ok you may have a thermostat fault check the wires to this it may need relacing..

check tire pressure is balanced then have tires checked after hitting somethingin the road your tire may fine but you may have bent the rim....

if changing the battery did not work in your remote....check your fuse in the car ....

Are the connectors actually wired the same? Check the wiring diagrams for each seat if you can find them, otherwise trace the wiring from the internal components in the seat to the connector and make sure the heaters are going to heater power pins in the original harness, and temperature sensors are going to temperature sensor pins (temperature sensors may be polarized, that is, it makes a difference which pin goes to positive and which to ground).

To be sure you need to hook up a scanner and read the code when you see the light on. It's not unusual for Mini's to do this for a couple of usual reasons. One is due to the Oxygen sensor getting a short term reading that is out of the norm causing the light to come on. Various things can cause this including Injectors, mechanical condition, o-rings, even fuel changes from one station to another can trigger this on cars. It goes off later because it's a temporary issue and the car adjusts itself after so many starts. One other reason is the fuel cap not being tightened properly, that usually is fixed when you refuel and retighten the cap properly or just tighten the cap.

Check all fuses. Inspect all the wiring you can see. If a mouse chewed them up, maybe it could cause this?If that doesn't fix it, sounds like you have a defect in the circuit board in the Instrument panel display.
