This is likely caused by the gas cap not being put on tight enough, being left off completely, or a bad gas cap.

It actually means the pressure in the gas tank is not as high as it should be.

There is not a dipstick for the trans oil. The only way to check the oil is to drain it out and refill.

Look in your service manual, it should tell where it's locates. some times the fuel filter gets plugged when you run your tank completely empty. You may have a plugged fuel filter also. Normally the reset button would be intact unless the vehicle has somebody bump it hard. Doesn't sound like fuel pump reset. Sounds like filter plugged or possible blown fuse.. How many miles on vehicle determines alot. Try what I recommended. A hone call is free to a mechanic at the minicooper dealership.

Hi Steven, I'm guessing that you have recently bought the vehicle. I believe that your problem is an after market vehicle anti theft device which has not been disarmed correctly, or at all. Regards John
