Break pedal goes to floor but still has ablity to stop

Check that vacuum line to the servo or booster (as it is sometimes called) is attached with no holes in it if that looks good then its probably the servo. the servo is what your master cylinder bolts onto. this happened to mine, to replace simply unbolt master cyl. from serve the unbolt servo by reaching under dash just above brake pedal and pulling carpet down and remove the 2 or 3 nuts or bolts holding servo then pull servo from firewall and replace.

Replace multi-function switch 2005 mariner

The tail light is usually a bulb with lower wattage, so it won't glow as brightly as the brake and turn lights.. There should be one or two other bulbs in either of the two tail assy's. The turn signal can use the same bulb as the brake light. If so, it's up to the flasher assy to direct the lights to both come on, and/or for one to flash if the brake and turn signal is on, e.g.. There could also be a backup light. So if the brake and turn lights don't operate, look to the fuses, and flasher assy. for possible replacement.

How to release the hood latch

You will need to go up from the bottom of the car, and try with either metal clothes hanger (or other stiff flexible items) to pull the latch. You have a hard one here, and wont be easy anyway you do it. Good luck!

My 2008 Maringer revs wide open at start up, so I shut down immediately, why?

Throttle body may be stuck. Spray come cleaner into it. Also a large vacuum leak will cause a high idle.

Mt Mercury merrinerr the rpm Gage keeps going up and down now a wrench light has come on what might it be

Hello...In order to isolate the problem the "wrench Light" is indicating a fault code has been stored in the vehicles computer. The first step to determine what the problem may be is to retrieve the code(s) via a ODBII code reader. Some parts stores offer free code reading so check with your local Auto Parts retailers for this service.

Location of central junction box 2008 mariner

Doesn't have a CJB , has SJB - smart junction box . Computer with fuse box in one . Removal NOTE: Prior to removal of the SJB, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a scan tool. NOTE: The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) functionality is integral to the SJB. NOTE: A new SJB module is delivered in manufacturing mode with pre-set DTCs. These DTCs require that the TPMS sensor training procedure be carried out in order for the DTCs to be cleared. The pre-set DTCs are as follows:
  • B2868 - Left Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
  • B2869 - Right Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
  • B2870 - Right Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
  • B2871 - Left Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
  • C2780 - ECU in Manufacturer Sub-State
  1. Upload the module configuration information from the SJB. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01 .
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
  1. Remove the floor console SJB cover.
  1. Remove the transmission selector lever bezel from the floor console finish panel.
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  1. Remove the parking brake lever boot from the floor console finish panel.
  1. Remove the floor console finish panel.
  1. Remove the SJB screw.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the SJB.

U2023-malfunction received from external node- how

Taking it to a qualified repair shop would be your best bet . U2023 External Node Fault DTC ABS Module REFER to Section 418-00 . U2023 Fault Received From External Node SJB REFER to Section 418-00 . Which module did you pull this code from ? What type scanner or was it a code reader ? Do you know what a serial data network is ? specifically C.A.N - controller area network ! Do you know what a node is ? A control module ,PCM ,SJB ,IPC etc... Communications Network Smart Junction Box (SJB) The SJB is connected to the medium speed controller area network (CAN) communications bus. If one of the bus wires becomes shorted to ground or voltage, communications can continue at a reduced level. Check circuits 1847 (WH/OG), and 1848 (PK/OG) between the SJB C2280a, the instrument cluster C220 and the data link connector (DLC) C251. Total resistance values must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is an open circuit in the medium speed CAN, damage to the DLC C251, or damage to the SJB C2280a. Since both the SJB and the instrument cluster share network termination responsibilities, a problem in either of these modules can result in a medium speed CAN failure. For additional SJB information, refer to Section 419-10 . Powertrain Control Module (PCM) The PCM is on the high speed CAN. The PCM controls the engine for better fuel economy, emissions control, failure mode detection and storage, and all passive anti-theft system (PATS) functions. If one of the bus wires becomes shorted to ground or voltage, communications can continue at a reduced level. Check the high speed CAN circuits 1908 (WH) and 1909 (BK), between the PCM C175b and the DLC C251. Total resistance values must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is an open circuit in the high speed CAN, damage to the DLC C251, damage to the PCM C175b, or a problem in the in-line connector. Since both the PCM and the instrument cluster share network termination responsibilities, a problem in either of these modules can result in a high speed CAN failure. For additional PATS information, refer to Section 419-01B . For additional PCM information, refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual. For removal and installation information, refer to Section 303-14A or Section 303-14B . Instrument Cluster The instrument cluster is on the high speed CAN. It is an analog face cluster with a digital odometer. The instrument cluster displays a variety of information. If one of the bus wires becomes shorted to ground or voltage, communications can continue at a reduced level. Check the high speed CAN circuits 1908 (WH) and 1909 (BK) between the instrument cluster C220 and the DLC C251. Total resistance values must not be more than 5 ohms. If the resistance is more than 5 ohms, there is an open circuit in the CAN network, damage to the DLC C251, damage to the instrument cluster C220, or a problem in the in-line connector. Since both the PCM and the instrument cluster share network termination responsibilities, a problem in either of these modules can result in a high speed CAN failure. For additional instrument cluster information, refer to Section 413-01 . The vehicle has 3 module communication networks: high speed and medium speed CAN network, which are comprised of unshielded twisted pair cable, and the international standards organization (ISO) 9141 communication network, which is a single wire network. All 3 networks are connected to the data link connector (DLC). This makes diagnosis and testing of these systems easier by allowing a diagnostic tester to be able to diagnose and control any module on the 3 networks from the connector. The DLC can be found under the instrument panel between the steering column and the radio.
