I am In Australia and just paid $160 for a roof inspection and report.
It was $400 for a full house inspection and report. Both these costs were fairly similar to two other quotes. Cheers Bob

You are at the wrong stroke on the 4 stroke engine. You have to be at TDC on the COMPRESSION stroke. You are at inlet or exhaust stoke TDC :>)

It is difficult to guess - it is presumably the original ECU that goes with the car that is coded to that VIN and will talk the same language as the other modules?

Poor connections are possible, the current and voltage on some of the pins is very small so dust can stop data reaching the ECU. The exposed terminals of the ECU and socket can quickly form an oxide coating that also resists the flow of current.
Touching the exposed pins, if you are the sort of person that charges with static electricity, can damage the ECU.

It could of course coincidentally be something entirely different, the immobiliser failing to disarm perhaps. Time to find a wiring diagram and begin checking voltages, continuity, etc.

I suggest you have a fuel pressure and delivery volume test carried out and then pull the injectors for testing - once you are certain the fuel system is capable of delivering the fuel in a form that is readily burnable, any remaining problems are likely to be tired sensors. Bad spray patterns can sometimes not burn very well and be seen by the management system as a lean mixture.

.
If you see your Meriva's battery light turns on while the engine is already running, that is a strong indication that the alternator is no longer providing enough wattage to power the various electrical systems and charge the battery at the same time. A new alternator will rectify the problem.Dec 3, 2019
