Who is the Manufacturer of your vehicle? The only 'Colt' I can find listed is a small engined compact car and not a 2.8l Tdi.
They fuse you need is likely to be in the passenger compartment fuse box. This is often tucked under the dash or hidden behind a clip off cover on the lower part of the dash.
Comment below with more of your vehicle details and I'll try to give you more help.

A wrench light usually means the vehicle is due a service. The gear issue could be the vehicle going into a 'Safe Mode' due to the service light coming on.
Get the vehicle to a Good Mechanic and he will be able to check the vehicle for any other faults. The vehicle will need to be plugged into a diagnostic system or an OBD2 scanner to clear the service light. That will allow the mechanic to check for any other fault codes and any other problems.

clean the MAF (mass airflow sensor and also the throttle body. If that doesn't fix it you need to get on a scan computer that shows live data.It will record what happens as it happens.

You may have a fuel pump issue, but they usually produce enough pressure or they don't. Scan computer will show that as well.

There are now upwards of a dozen different pairs of radio removal tools in the armoury of those needing to remove a variety of radios regularly.
Choosing the correct pair of tools is mostly a matter of experience, trial and error or if available, looking in the manual.

Usually there are trim pieces to remove to gain access and a few radios need to be unlocked with a small allen key prior to using the withdrawal tools.

I suggest you either search for a manual or pay an expert for the 2 minutes it will take to remove it...

The gasoline tank is leaking and needs to be replaced. Or the fuel lines need to be replaced. . If you can smell gas or spot a drip or a leak underneath your car check to see if you can to see if there is any gasoline that is leaking or dripping down on the ground That is a sign that your gasoline leak is somewhere higher up in the engine like a leaking fuel injector or bad engine seals and the fuel injector and the engine seals need to be replaced. You should take your car to a mechanic to have it be looked at and see what the problem is and if anything needs to be replaced.

Your description is reminiscent of a diesel BMW brought to me a while ago. The injectors were pulled and tested and all found to be seized open and then dismantled for overhaul.

The diesel expert told me this is becoming more common now diesel is blended with about 10% biofuel, the extremely high injection pressures of the common rail diesel mean biofuel isn't really suitable.

The exhaust was saturated with diesel so after rebuild and starting it took about an hour before the smoke reduced enough for me to dare take it on the road - even driving gently left an unacceptable trail of smoke but once on quiet country roads I was able to increase the speed and after ten miles felt confident enough to return to town.

I asked the diesel guy whether a fuel additive would improve things and he said Bosch says don't use them and they void the warranty and Delphi say they should be used.

You will need to describe your problem in greater detail, including the usual who, what, when, where, why, etc...
It isn't helpful when those with questions assume we know what you know...

There is a trend with modern vehicles to keep circuits "hot" all the time and switch them electronically in the ground return.

Which ECU and what age?

Resetting would mean changing or replacing the internal software which under normal circumstances is completely undesirable.

Do you mean removing fault codes and perhaps restoring the default values?

For most modern vehicles utilising obd2 or jobd2, codes of faults affecting the exhaust emissions can be read and erased by compatible generic code readers and dealer level software/equipment is needed for everything else.

I recently tried
the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything
got it from www.reliable-store.com
