. If the box has been performing as expected and this has just started ( manual box ) I would be checking the gear selector either on the side of the box -- in the selector levers or in the cable operation. As the movement for all three gears is in a forward direction and you may have a cable operation to select the gears check the cable for failure. It the selection is at the base of a steering column then check for failed bushes and if it is a top mounted lever directly into the gear box then check that the pin that pivots the gear lever is tight and not worn. I am reasonable confident that the problem is in the selection mechanism and not in the box proper.
Take it back, they didn't fix it, they sold it faulty. Tell them you are not satisfied with it and you want full credit towards a Toyota or a Honda. Kia are cheap and nasty and full of issues. They aren't made to last. You have a major electronics and computer issue.

An idle meter can fluctuate for a variety of reasons, including a vacuum leak or a clogged fuel injector. It may be best to have a mechanic inspect your vehicle to diagnose the problem.

Greetings,
Please reach out to your local independent mechanic or car parts store in order to request the kia document that you're looking for. If they don't have it, they might be able to direct to a website where you can retrieve the document.
Thank you.
The KIA shop manual (both my hard copy and kiatech) show the locations of the bolts on the "Cylinder Head Cover" --aka valve cover-- and they provide the torque at 35-52 lb-in (4-6Nm), but they don't specify a tightening order.
Normally crisscross middle to outside edges, hand tight, half torque and full torque. Better to do the job right, do it once, replace the gasket.
no scan tool errors told DTC.wow. or just guessing"?

gen A and Gen B,
If the immobilizer light is coming on and the engine is cranking but not starting, it's likely that the immobilizer system is not recognizing the key and is preventing the engine from starting. Here are a few things you can try:
Check the battery in the key fob: Make sure the battery in the key fob is not dead. A low battery can cause the immobilizer system to not recognize the key.
Try a different key: If all three keys are not working, it's possible that the immobilizer system itself is faulty. Try a different key to see if the problem persists.
Check the immobilizer system: If the problem persists with all keys, it's possible that there is a problem with the immobilizer system itself. This could be a faulty immobilizer module, antenna coil, or wiring. You may need to have the system diagnosed and repaired by a professional mechanic.
Check the fuel system: If the immobilizer system is not recognizing the key, the fuel system may not be primed correctly. Check the fuel pressure and ensure that the fuel pump is working properly.
It's important to have this issue diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the engine or electrical system. If you're unsure about driving the vehicle, have it towed to a repair shop.
