Sounds like electrical interference. Check under the bonnet with the engine running in the dark. Get someone to give the motor a bit of a rev while looking under the bonnet, see if you can see any sparking or tracking from any of the spark plug leads. You probably wont see them sparking in the daylight.

A stripped bolt for the rocker arm.

Check if it has a relay. The contact in it could be shorted. Replace the relay.

Modules or Relays are not going to sleep or timing out & running the battery down Have to leave the doors closed up to 1/2 hour with a an amp meter on the battery & pull one fuse at a time to isolate the circuit You Tube has video on (Parasitic Current Drain Test)

before you do this remember that modern flashers are electronic and do not require a current draw to flash so what they are hooked up to make them flash is of no consequence. ( LEDs, 2-4, 20 lights). Have a talk with an accredited auto electrician before you waste money on something you may not have to change

it has thrown off a rocker arm will need to fixed also check to make sure the head is not dammaged this is a intence repair

Check wheel bearings on the side where you here the noise.

it must be same part number and jeep told you it is not PNP, plug and play and must be programmed to work. and 99% off all returned PCM are perfectly good due to bad inputs, to PCM or output actuators are bad (injectors and relays etc) as we said for 50 years, GIGO (even back to relay computers, first ever) garbage in gets you garbage out , of any computer made.so far. why not scan the PCM and tell the DTC errors and get help or omg even tell symptoms of any engine.

If you have true 4-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive and you were driving on a dry surface with four wheel drive engaged, you may have "wound up" torque between the front and rear drive trains. This happens because when turning, rear wheels take a shorter route than the front wheels and this difference has to be compensated for either in the transfer case or by slippery or snow covered roads, or it will bind, and the resulting pressure makes moving the selector very hard. You have probably felt this happening ("bucking") to a lesser extent when making tight turns while in 4WD in the past? If this is the case, all you have to do is jack up the front end - and preferably get both front tires off the ground. The jeep should NOT be running. If it was "bound up," this will release the pressure and you will probably see the front wheels spin a bit. You should then be able to move the selector back to the two-wheel or all-wheel drive position. Good luck.

most likely (as seen in my experience), the valves become slightly bent & they don't travel properly within the valve guide, causing the valves to stick open. It will almost appear to be a broken valve spring. I've seen a handful with this problem. The valve sticks open & the cam lobe doesn't even touch the rocker arm, thus "tossing" the rocker out of position.

Yes it could be a wiring problem, the camshaft, or the sync with the crank sensor.
