well the first thing we do is a battery hard reset. turn all off, discnt batt both cables wait 5min then reconnect. the reason both cables are discnted is so they will reach together after battery is disconnected. be very careful not to spark the battery. and always use battery bought from infiniti due to these large capacity battery's the dealer sells for around 100 bucks have additional reserve capacity (really important) not found in most batteries and they come with 84mo lmtd warranty that includes 12 mo of batt related roadside! buy and install yourself for 100 bucks.

Check your fuse first. If not blown, check connector terminals for rusting, corrosion. If ok, need to replace the switch/button.

I would sugest it is to do with the brakes. Check the master cylinder to see if it is empty. You need to find out why the pedal is going to the floor. If parked on concrete look behind all wheels for brake fluid. I think you probably had rapid fluid loss due to broken brake line etc...

Firstly, we need to do a series of Diagnostic Modes, to see if the computer has detected any faults within the transmission.

I will need to ask you to perform a series of procedures (which you can answer at your leisure). Once you provide the answer to the first procedure, I will provide you with the next procedure, and so on. Your answers will determine which procedure we follow next.

Please perform the following procedure and advise outcome:

1. Move gear selector lever into Neutral, start engine and warm it up to normal engine operating temperature
2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and wait 10 seconds
3. Move gear selector lever to "P".
4. Turn ignition switch to ON (do not start)
5. Does O/D OFF indicator lamp come on for about 2 seconds, then turn off?

sound like you have a broken wire to wind motor that making intermintant contact ck where wires come into door assm

sounds like a wiring problem unless you are a mechanic take it to a dealer

What colour is the smoke? The easiest way to check this is on first start when the engine is cold. This can give clues as to where the problem could be. is the vehicle doing anything else different? A blue exhaust smoke is commonly oil getting into the cylinders. White smoke suggests coolant getting into the cylinders. Black smoke is the engine running too rich. Blue or white smoke can often mean a blown head gasket. On a 2001 engine that could the most likely reason.

(takes skills) facing engine bank 1 is right bank, cylinder 1 front there. KS1 is on same bank. left word below means drivers seat perspective see below KS1 is on the right facing the engine clear as day we see the intake manifold is gone. FRONT Of car IS HERE X it is big sandwich, remove the top things seen to get here.called gaining ACCESS to it. 1. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the air intake duct from the dual duct housing.
4. Unplug the electrical connectors from the throttle body, the step motor AAC valve and the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
5. Disconnect and label the hoses from the valve cover, the throttle body, the step motor AAC valve, the EGR control valve and the air cut valve.
6. If the spark plug wires are in the way, disconnect them and move them aside. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.
7. Remove the upper intake manifold collector-to-intake manifold bolts, and lift the assembly from the intake manifold. Discard the gasket.
8. Remove the lower intake manifold collector-to-intake manifold bolts, in sequence, and lift the assembly from the intake manifold. Discard the gasket.
9. If the fuel injector assembly is in the way, perform the following procedures:
   1. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
   2. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly from the fuel lines.

1. Remove the fuel rail-to-cylinder head bolts.
2. Remove the fuel rail assembly from the engine.

Remove the intake manifold-to-engine bolts, in sequence, lift the intake manifold from the engine and discard the gasket. see that arrow red, it is inTHERE im told Olive OyL can get there , directly./(grin)
