How do i check if my wheel bearings need replacing on my hyundai geetz 2002 aust

Jack the front of the car up with the wheels off the ground grab the tire with both hands one at the top and 1 at the bottom and rock the tire up and down then switch your hands to the sides and rock the tire side to side if there is any movement in either direction replace the bearings. Also you can spin the tire while its off the ground and listen for bearing noise.

Sound comparison.Jack up one front wheel, and securely block the other 3 wheels. Start the engine and put the car in gear, and let the motor run the wheel . Do not race the engine. Listen to the sound it makes. Now shut off the engine and do the same to the other front wheel. Is one really noisy ? That's the problem wheel.Unless you car was in a flood, wheel bearings usually last a lifetime on most cars.Be blessed.
