People have this notion, especially older mechanics and 1/2 Witt mechanics that disconnecting the cable will tell you if the alt is good or not. On older cars disconnecting the battery while running was ok on newer cars you NEVER do this. People time and time again think this is ok, it\'s not, you will severely f&$@k up the regulator and possibly the ECM causing a new problem that was not there before. The alternator could be putting out voltage fine but the problem usually lies in the amperage. It\'s fine to have a few things on but once load is applied everything will fall apart.

check the battery with a load tester and have the out put of the alternator checked . Clean battery terminals and posts to shiny clean and ensure that they are tight.. With the battery light coming on it is possible that the gear problems is that the voltage to the TCM is too low and so it is not operating properly or the solenoids are not getting sufficient voltage to operate properly.

are they using genuine pads? have had aftermarket pads cause this

difficult to say here ,firstly try using a power jet washer in a garage and try to wash out the backs of the wheel hubs as often its just a build up of muck around the sensors if that doesnt work remove each wheel in turn and check the wires to the sensor and taht is about all you can do without the correct software and OBDII interface

check the fan relay switch it could be defective.make sure all connectors are pluged in secure as well.hope this helps
