Depends on where you go. Go to the dealer 300-500 bucks. Its really not a hard job for a do it yourself type but you better know what you are doing and have the right tools. And its a messy job. Check youtube they have some videos that show you how to do it. If you are not mechanically inclined then prepare to pay some bucks. I am a do it yourself kind of guy.

You should have oil cooler lines on the filter adapter and the sender is there it screws into the adapter and has one contact inside the plug go to rockauto.Com and look up your vehicle and then the part in electrical switch and relay it may just be shorting out from the oil filter leaking and cleaning and a new oil filter may stop it from lighting up but maybe not good luck stephen

First you have to see whether it's the ignition or fuel system. You need an assistant to check. Do this remove a spark plug wire or coil (for cop ignition) insert a screwdriver into the boot then hold the metal part of the screwdriver 1/2 in. away from a metal part of the engine and have you assistant crank the engine while you watch for spark. Check fuel pump by removing the cap from the test port on the fuel rail then depress the Schroeder valve while your assistant turns the key to run, fuel should spray out. CAUTION; Do these test in this order to prevent fire.
If no fuel sprays out bang on the fuel tank as someone attempts to start the engine if it starts replace the fuel pump. I hope this helps. Take care.

In the picture, note the pcm connector. I'd look under the hood on the firewall in that area. The picture is a v6. This database I use isn't perfect, there are mistakes. It's all I have for ref material. If the picture is wrong, my bad. I would have no idea where your pcm is located w/o looking. good luck

Did you get all the vacuum lines back on? If yes let the engine idle then spray around the intake with carb cleaner or starting fluid to check for leaks. Even though it may run kind of good the fuel pump can cause this code, you can see the fuel rail pressure on a good scan tool during a test drive otherwise see it your parts store will loan you a fuel pressure gauge, hook the gauge up and tape it somewhere you can see it while driving and take it for a spin if the pressure drops while cruising change the pump module. I hope this helps. Take care.

This will depend entirely on the engine size and which version of the engine is fitted. They did a major facelift and update to the model in 2002 so it is possible the answer will be No.
You could try some of the Explorer Owners websites or look for a specialist independent Explorer mechanic to ask.
You could also try ringing the parts department of a dealership and ask. Some dealership parts men do help.

No, sorry. OBD 1 vs OBD II systems, so wiring/electronics would be problematic. 98 has 2 different 4.0s available also. SOHC and OHV. The 95 is OHV.
