How do you remove thermostat out of Daihatsu applause

First locate the thermostat housing. Do this by following the large top radiator hose back towards the engine. It should attach to a housing shaped like the one in the attached image. Next drain the coolant out of the system. The housing is held down with 2 bolts. Remove these bolt and lift off the housing. The thermostat should lift out. When fitting the new thermostat use a new gasket. The bolts should Not be too tight! Fit the bolts finger tight then tighten until the bolt grips firmly. Then Stop! (7ft lbs/10Nm). Refill the coolant system. Start the engine and let it warm up to working temperature. **Carefully** feel the top radiator hose if the thermostat is working that hose should start cold then gradually get warmer. Stop the engine and let it cool down. Once cold, check the coolant level and the thermostat housing for leaks. 88dbc161-0b72-41bf-a60b-e52f0a30b733-zglq4a4luttjegkswzgk2des-4-0.jpeg

I have a Daihatsu Charade Celeb 2008. The battery runs flat overnight. Could this be the immobalizer as there are no lights on or anything else that would draw power?

have the battery load tested first as faulty batteries will self discharge over night if it is good ,have an auto electrician clip an amp meter over the battery lead to read any current flow when everything is switched off

2007 Daihatsu terios does it have a non interference engine

I don't have a 2007 listed but up to 2002 are all interference engines which suggests that valve damage will occur in the event of a belt failure

Where is the thermstst on a 1990 rocky daihatsu

Remove the air filter hose on the top of the engine. Under neither on the right side facing the engine there should be two rubber hoses about 2" round with hose clips on then .... Remove them both... the rear one has a 3 screw housing. Remove it and the thermostat is under this one... drain Rad from the bottom first into a bucket... there is a drain screw on the bottom, pop open the Rad cap and open the drain... antifreeze is toxic but sweet and dogs will get into it. Look at how the old thermostat is placed into engine and repeat for new one. Tip make sure you have the rubber ring around the thermostat it makes it a whole lot easier to install..the best type of stat to use is a fail safe. If this type malfunctions it will do so in the open position and will not wreck your motor. .. Bolt everything back up refill with correct fluid and squeeze the upper and lower hoses to remove any potential air lock. Refill and repeat until no more fluid can be added.

Do you have a wiring diagram for a daihatsu delta. I have headlight issues but need info to track the fault

Have you tried using google to find what you need. If you have no luck with that, then you best option is to purchase the manual for the vehicle as it will have all the wiring diagrams in it.

How to change site mirror Daihatsu YRV

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem. I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything got it from www.reliable-store.com

Daihatsu terios fuel pump duse not pump fuel when the ignition hase been swhitch on onley after n fewe times switching on and off

The problem could be the fuel pressure sensor, the fuel pump itself or a problem with the fuel pump relay circuit. If you have a manual handy it will show you the location of the components.

ABS light on for daihatsu terios 2011 what can i check

Check to see where to closest Auto Parts place that will scan it for you is. Not worth it to play around with your safety. That light being on means the brakes are not going to act like ABS brakes. It could literally be anything from a $15 sensor, to a $500+ module or worse- a pump assembly.

My Daihatsu v1160r has a slight knock in da engine .what's da problem

Several things can cause a knock. Depends on several things. Does it only knock when driving but not at an idle: then it is probably low octane fuel. If it knocks constant and sounds like you are taping on the bottom of a ceramic coffee cup with your knuckle, it is a piston wrist pin. Any other knock can be a rod bearing or lifter (tappet) as they also knock constantly as well.
