Iam putting a long block in a 2oo4 chevy silverado 4.8l and I am putting the old stuff onto the long block. The question I have is about the CPS crank shaft position sensor.

It may do just fine. If it does not, the computer may throw up a code and you may have to make the computer relearn the CPS.

Where are grounds for airbag sensors on a 2 009 Silverado 3500hd. I have replaced the front airbag sensor but still get code B0091-00.

sensor that was replaced per the code scanner , That's where you made your mistake . No code tell's you to replace a part without testing . Did you do factory trouble shooting per code diagnostic testing procedures ? The inflatable restraint front end sensor utilizes a unidirectional 2-wire circuit. The front end sensor modulates current on the interface to send ID, state of health, and deployment commands to the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM). The SDM serves as a power source and a ground for the front end sensor. When the ignition is turned ON and input power from the SDM is first detected, the front end sensor responds by performing internal diagnostics and sending an ID to the SDM. The SDM considers the ID to be valid if the response time is less than 5 seconds. The front end sensor continually communicates status messages to the SDM, which determines if a fault is present in the front end sensor circuit. When a fault is detected, the SDM may reset the front end sensor up to 2 times by removing and reapplying power to it. If the fault is still present, the SDM will set a DTC. B0091 00 • The front end sensor has been shorted to voltage, open, or shorted to ground. • The front end sensor current has been above 23 mA for longer than 5 milliseconds. • The SDM has not received a message from the front end sensor for more than 375 milliseconds. Circuit/System Testing Important: When removing the connectors, inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion to the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector: • Front end sensor • SDM module • Front end sensor wiring harness connector • SDM wiring harness connector Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the front end sensor and the SDM. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the front end sensor signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt between the front end sensor low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground. ? If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for a short to voltage. Test for infinite resistance between the front end sensor signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. ? If less than the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. Test for infinite resistance between the front end sensor low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground. ? If less than the specified value, test the low reference circuit for a short to ground. Test for less than 1 ohm between the SDM signal circuit terminal 38 and the front end sensor circuit terminal 2 harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. Test for less than 1 ohm between the SDM low reference circuit terminal 36 and the front end sensor circuit terminal 1 harness connector. ? If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the front end sensor. Reconnect all SIR components. Ignition ON, verify the DTC is not set as current. ? If the DTC resets as current, replace the SDM.

Where is the cigarette auxillary lighter fuse located on the fuse box of a 2015 silverado

If you have your owner's manual, look for APO fuse (auxiliary power outlet). If no manual look at the underwood fuse box cover, it lists all fuses, and the left side dash panel fuse cover. Chevy calls them APO now.

Lost power to the fuel pump on the harness, for a 04 Chevy Silverado the relay is new and I don’t know what else it can be

it is the fuel pressure regulator that is responsible for running the fuel pump as the pressure varies the regulator tells the ECM to turn on/off the relay to the pump

2005 Chevy Silverado 3500. Automatic headlights turn on, the engine dies. Turn it off, it still keeps running, even when the key is pulled out.cannot find the wiring issue..... ANY HELP??

What code's ? # code's P0 what ? Any BCM - body control module code's ? Did you do diagnostic test's for said code's ? Do you know what a factroy diagnostic flow chart is ? Is the vehicle a 4X4 or 2X4 ? What engine ? Do you know what class 2 serial data bus is ? Do you have wiring diagrams ? Headlamp ON/OFF control is determined by the body control module (BCM) by a signal on the headlamp switch headlamp on signal circuit when the headlamp switch is in the HEAD position. When the headlamp switch is in the AUTO position, the BCM determines headlamps ON/OFF by the voltage from the ambient light sensor. High Beams The high beam headlamps receive voltage from the headlamp HI relay located in the underhood fuse block. The body control module (BCM) controls the relay on the headlamp high beam relay control circuit. High beam control is determined by a signal on the headlamp dimmer switch signal circuit from the multifunction switch. When the headlamp dimmer switch signal circuit is grounded, the BCM grounds the headlamp high beam relay control circuit, illuminating the high beam headlamps. The right and left high beam circuits are independent and are fused independently in the underhood fuse block. The right and left headlamps are grounded at G100 and G104. The high beam indicator is illuminated when the instrument cluster receives a class 2 serial data message from the BCM that the high beams are illuminated. Low Beams The low beam headlamps receive voltage from the headlamp LOW relay located in the underhood fuse block. The body control module (BCM) controls the relay on the headlamp low beam relay control circuit. Low beam control is determined by a signal on the headlamp dimmer switch signal circuit from the multifunction switch. When the headlamp dimmer switch signal circuit is open, the BCM grounds the headlamp low beam relay control circuit, illuminating the low beam headlamps. The right and left low beam circuits are independent and are fused independently in the underhood fuse block. The right and left headlamps are grounded at G100 and G104. DTC B2645 The body control module (BCM) monitors the ambient light sensor signal circuit in order to determine if the daytime running lights (DRL) or the auto headlights (ALC) should be turned ON in the AUTO mode. When the BCM senses the ambient light sensor signal voltage is between 1.75-4.9 volts, either the DRL will be commanded ON or the ALC will be commanded ON depending upon the amount of light received by the sensor.
