That is what they call a "generic" code. Some OBD11 or OBD2, "same thing", scanners will give a $7E8 and $7EA. together and maybe a $7E9. These are for a sub menu. Click on each one separately and you should or might get a regular "P0" code if your scanner has the supported module. If not either get a better scanner or go to a "big box" auto parts store and they will scan it for free and should be able to give you more information. Please comment or feedback if helpful. Larry

They usually hammer the screwdriver into the lock and use the screwdriver to turn the lock in place of a key. Of course they forget about the antitheft system, but some just want to release the steering lock so they can get it onto a low loader and strip for parts. Take off all the plastic and replace the lock. It is a job better left to your local dealership because of removing the hardened steel pin some have and some has a special technique for sliding the cylinder out. disconnect either heater hose at the engine, remove radiator cap, slowly pour water in at heater hose untill it comes out radiator

spray some throttle body into the throttle body to clean it out. Do this by taking off the air filter tubes. Start the engine and slowly spray into the throttle body.

Has electronic power steering ,no steering fluid . The electric power steering (EPS) system reduces the amount of effort needed to steer the vehicle. The system uses the body control module (BCM), power steering control module (PSCM), torque sensor, discrete battery voltage supply circuit, EPS motor, serial data bus, and the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center to perform the system functions. The PSCM, torque sensor, not the EPS motor are serviced separately from each other or from the steering column. Any EPS components diagnosed to be malfunctioning requires replacement of the steering column assembly, also known as the EPS assembly. Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.
