My 1989 735i is.

Poor antenna connection? Bad ground fr antenna?

Check coolant temp sensor (not the sender for the dash indicator but the one that talks to the ECU). These fail often and will tell the ECU wrong temperature data such that the fuel mix can be way off. They usually do not cause check engine light to be on. This can be tested with ohm meter if you have a temp chart with readings. Easy fix.

You don't have radiator cap? If not, fill it through top radiator hose fitting. If no radiator cap, I guess you have a surge tank? You should be able to top it off in the surge tank. You will have to keep an eye on the coolant level. I don't know if your cooling system has air bleeder valves? If you don't get the engine and radiator full of coolant, the liability is yours. I can't see anything from here. I didn't see model year listed or I would look up your radiator info.

Well the warning light is probably on because the cam timing is not right. So yes it will probably stay on until you get it fixed.

I would guess it would cost you about 350 dollars to have that done.

possible the bulbs are burnt out or there is a bad connection for the bulbs in the dash.

When the anti theft system was created,the dealers forgot to tell the new car buyers about how much the fob matters to the vehicle,without it,owners are stuck,your anti theft device is activated,you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob,call your car dealer to get a new one,they are programmed for each car only,you cannot bypass it.if you lost your fob or never had it,whatever,you need to have the exact fob that came with that car from the factory,the key and fob have a chip in them that only go to that certain car,if you do not have it,then you need to buy a new one from the dealer or ebay and then you need to contact your dealer about programming the fob to your car,you might not have to have it towed if they have the documents from the car,the only other way is to get a junk car,with the steering column,key,fob and all computer boxes and door locks and switch them,i just did that with a 98 dodge dakota,and it works.,,,,

You need a Special HandHeld Tool which gets connected to the OBD connector in your car (for your info this connector is located somewhere closeby to Steering column ) the HH tool is an Electronic instrument that communicates with your car using CAN protocol.

That's not good, cream coloured oily muck on the oil filler cap usually means water is in the oil. This would indicate either a blown head gasket or cracked head. Somewhere water is getting into the engine. I would get it looked at ASAP as major engine damage can occur if you havent already done so.

This is water foam caused by infrequent oil changes, poor quality oil (Quaker State, Pennsoil), or possible head gasket leak.
