Jennifer what type of timing belt does your engine use ? Is it Nylon ? When was the last time you had it changed ? Burning plastic smell may be being caused by the timing belt bearing runners seizing and the belt is getting hot . If the belt is due to snap you could cause a lot of damage to the engine if it breaks. Might be worth getting a mechanics advice on this as a possible cause

get a noid lite and check to see if computer is pulsing injectors

Have you checked fuel pressure between tank and intake? pressure check valve on return line could be stuck open. check for spark as well, need more info....

Along the firewall there is a pressure test point (looks like a tire valve) push the valve in to see if there is fuel and pressure. I'm guessing there is NOT if you can spray fuel and start. If there is you may want to get a pressure gauge and make sure the pressure is high enough. If NOT, you need to chase back why you don't have pressure. is there power to the relay ? Is the relay switching ? Is there power to the pump ?

Remove the door panel so you can access the wire that plugs into the mirror control. Use a 12 test light to determine which wire provides power to the switch. (key on engine off) Once the power terminal is identified (key on engine off) use a jumper wire to send power to the mirror motors. There should be five terminals one for power, one for each direction. If they all work the switch is bad. If no power, open circuit so blown fuse. If they don't work bad mirror motors

if it doesn't work for either side the plug may have come off or a fuse is out

By the sounds of it, it may well be seized in, make sure you have soaked it with a penetrant like fospro, leave for a few hours, then get a high impact socket that fits exactly right, give it a whack vibration helps loosen all the build up. If this doesn't work and you have a ally head, you can't really apply heat. You may end up shearing the head off the bolt then re drill and thread the hole. It does happen unfortunately and can't be helped sometimes.

sounds like you may have a starter relay issue or maybe the starter it self. also did you check any relays that are associated with the ignition? I am going to bet the relay or starter..good luck

its jamming, or motor weak. feel it by hand , motor disconnected. if feels good, then its a bad motor, (weak) or not getting full 12vdc on command. 1 min, voltmeter check, and latter dispelled.

get a real person to fix it. we cant see it. nor guess. fixing mechanical issues, takes hands on. get help. hands on. its an old car, the window tracks are probably a mess. and some can not even be had this old. (so we find them on wrecks) the while thing needs to be taken apart and looked at and INSPECTED for damage, rust and bad parts. that takes hands, and eyes. see?

that is a leak. find it and fix it. the object sourcing said leak is FUBAR.

does it start as soon as it stops possible fuel problem (pump)or fire computer under carpet on pass side floor corosion on the wires heats up causing short or relays in fuse boxes overheat shut down no carstarter installed no anti theft these are things to check

Probably thermostat failure
