lot of time 4X4 will engage only in neutral and disengage in neutral. some times switching from drive to neutral and revers will help to disengage. just sake back and for till you feel the 4X4 is off. Good luck

With the cylinder head removed and clamped down you will need to use a specialist valve spring compression tool. This allows you to remove the valve stem collets holding the spring cap in place. A small extendible magnetic pen is very useful for this. ***CAUTION*** Valve springs are VERY strong and if they slip they can do a SERIOUS amount of damage.
