This could be a bearing going out or an ABS sensor going out. Get rid of the mechanic that can only rely on reading codes.

AWD. Remote starter causes lights to turn on and stay on but why doesn't engine start?

but does manual starts work, with key in dash key socket?????????is this the factory remote start option?do both FOBs fail>? if yes, know that the factory version is very strict on cranking rules. (laws to OEM)so if yes, then you must scan the pcmif you see any DTC errors, bingo.this is to prevent injury of those around any car with this junk. 15+ deaths and growing.both keyless and remote start.if you have tools, then get car servicedthe modern system will do thatif doors are ajar (real or switches lying)if transmission shiftier in wrong state, (true or not (switches fail)or gross engine or transmission errors detected.or low battery (in car)or, (well the fsm on car tells you all this, read it?)here it is.just 4 bucks to read ithttps://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1158-2008-xl7-service-manual.aspxread about Remote start diagnosis.if that sounds too hard,? (for most folks, yes)get car repaired? at a shop?>--------------------fsm excerpts to scare you-----Remote Vehicle Start InoperativeDiagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle ) prior to using this diagnostic procedure. Review Strategy Based Diagnosis for an overview of each diagnostic approach. Diagnostic Procedure Instructions provides an overview of each diagnostic category.Circuit/System DescriptionRemote vehicle start (RVS) begins as an RF message received by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) from a keyless entry transmitter. The RVS request is sent by the RCDLR to the body control module (BCM) via serial data. The BCM monitors system conditions such as content theft deterrent (CTD), hood ajar status, and body DTCs to determine if an RVS event will occur. If conditions are determined to be acceptable, the RVS message is sent to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM monitors system conditions such as engine control parameters and vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) to determine if engine starting will be allowed. If conditions are acceptable, the ECM will initiate engine starting. During the engine run time in a RVS attempt, before the operator enters the vehicle, the ECM may discontinue engine operation if system conditions require it or a message is received from the BCM requesting the engine be turned OFF.Diagnostic AidsNOTEImportant: If the vehicle has a current vehicle DTC that illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), the cause of the DTC must be diagnosed before proceeding with the Remote Vehicle Start Inoperative diagnostic. The RVS system will not operate if any of the following conditions are present: A current vehicle DTC that illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) The vehicle is in valet mode. More than 2 remote starts have been attempted. The hazard switch is in the ON position. A current hazard switch DTC is set. The vehicle hood is ajar. A current hood ajar DTC is set. The CTD system detects an alarm trigger. Excessive engine RPM Excessive coolant temperature Accelerator pedal position greater than 0 percent Vehicle not in park Vehicle theft deterrent malfunction A current automatic transmission shift lock control system DRC is set. A vehicle speed sensor signal is detected by the ECM.end quote.you can read the FSM online for $4 the real 100%suzuki FSM, do so, or get car serviced like 99% do today. This list will grow , after 3 top lawsuitswin cases and recalls, happen. My prediction.... What caused heat to stop working?

same answer on all cars. nice photo, so rare here, shocking that. in order,...... 1: sure the blower must blow. 2: the engine must get to min. 180F , if not, thermostat bad in engine. 3: ok, engine is hot, so the heater core must get hot next. it has 2 hoses, we feel them with hands, are both hot?, yes, then the core is most-likely hot. (inside) (if not core is packed in gunk inside) ever do 2year cooling flushes< (oops. zero service lands you here) 4: the controls must open the dampers, if not? bad controls 5: if the controls work and dampers fail, then the dampers are bad. all answers assumes , cooling system full to top of RAD. your car uses 3 damper motors. (electric) that operate them by controls the motor for temp is called temperature actuator motor. the controller is called HVAC controller did you scan the PLC to see if HVAC controller has errors. the controller needs fuse 15 good. Cab fuse box ."hvac-rfa" the controller use a network, data comm . if you scan the PCM and it tells you the HVac comms are dead what do you know? (means you cant fix it) its not just a simple switch like in 1990 (gone) its all computer controlled now. 26094348-k5quzreiqde4k1egefe3gt0o-2-0.jpg check fuse first scan 2nd. like we do on all modern cars, or , its all just a guessing game.

How will you know if the computer on your vehicle is going out?

I doubt the computer is bad , more then likely just a bad sensor or two . How many miles on the vehicle ? The traction control computer is separate from the engine lack of power problem . The light being on is to warn the driver a problem exists an needs to have a ASE certified technician diagnosis the problem ! Could have a number of different DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the ( EBCM )- electronic brake control module ! Now as far as the lack of power an hard starting , a plugged catalytic converter , mass air sensor , crankshaft position sensor could cause these problems ! You need to take it an have a diagnostic scan tool hooked up to check engine data parameters ! That's the only way with out just buying an replacing parts ! Your vehicle also has electronic throttle control ,drive by wire ! This vehicle is equipped with the Continental Teves MK 25E antilock braking system. The vehicle is equipped with the following braking systems: ?€¢ Antilock Brake System (ABS)

?€¢ Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)

?€¢ Traction Control System (TCS)

?€¢ Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES) (w/JL4)

The following components are involved in the operation of the above systems: ?€¢ Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)--The EBCM controls the system functions and detects failures.

The EBCM contains the following components:

- Motor Relay--The motor relay is energized when the ignition is ON and no ABS DTCs are present. It supplies battery positive voltage to the pump motor.

- Valve Relay--The valve relay is energized when the ignition is ON and no ABS DTCs are present. It supplies battery positive voltage to the solenoid valves.

?€¢ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV)--The BPMV contains the hydraulic valves and pump motor that are controlled electrically by the EBCM. The BPMV uses a 4 circuit configuration with a diagonal split. The BPMV directs fluid from the reservoir of the master cylinder to the left front and right rear wheels and fluid from the other reservoir to the right front and left rear wheels. The diagonal circuits are hydraulically isolated so that a leak or malfunction in one circuit will allow continued braking ability on the other

These thing's are for no amateur to mess with ! It could have anyone of 16 different DTC'S

How do I fix the sunroof on my Suzuki?

I can see that you are a little bit distressed at the answers but you must appreciate that without actually being there , an answer may never be right when something is not closing fully it usually amounts to adjustment of something It can be that the micro switch to stop the motor working is off a bit and stopping the motor action before the glass is fully in position the micro switch will have a small arm to operate it on the other hand the control switch may be an electronic unit that measures current flow and when that current exceeds a preset value ( motor can no longer turn) it switches the motor off problems that will cause either to stop prematurely will be glass out of adjustment, rubber seal hitting in one area and not the whole perimeter at once If it is a sensor unit , the unit may be failing and reading a high current when the current is actually normal so as the motor starts to lift the glass against the seal it shuts down so to make suggestions --- get a workshop manual as it may explain any adjustments needed,---talk with a service center and determine exactly what controls the final positioning of the glass--- talk with a panel repair shop to gain knowledge of problems associated with the installation of the units and possible fixes available

What does these cods means, U0073 U0101

XL-7 (dash 7?) "engine not starting" sure... but that is step 2, not 1. but you failed to say does it crank robustly yes./no? if NO, those silly dash messages are a waste of time. ever herd of jumper cable starts, or calling AAA and asking the man do jump start your dead battery? are headlights dim? charge your dead battery with a charger? or replace it with borrowed charged battery? or if dischanged, and you charge it and it starts now, does the alternator work> and give you, 13.3v to 15v battery voltage no? then dont drive too far or this will strand you. as battery dies again, is the battery good, 12.6vdc rested and 11v min, cranking? if the battery gets too weak, it cranks too slow and voltage falls too much and the ECU/PCM/BCM (brains) will fail and dump lots of codes. one code is low battery. the FSM book covers all code, buy one or look at alldata.com? 0101 = Lost Communication With TCM 0073 (can-bus network failure) The module setting the DTC has attempted to establish communications on the serial data circuits more than 3 times. BCM, DRR, HVSM, PPS, PSCM, Radio, RCDLR, ROS, RSA engine not starting but you failed to say does it crank robustly yes./no if NO, those silly dash messages a waste of time. ever herd of jumper cable starts, or calling AAA and asking the man do jump start your dead battery? are headlights dim?

Can u reset the check engine other than using a meter?

There are many folks here who will tell you how to do it without using a code reader. It may work or it may not. Be advised though, if you don't use a code reader and you try to do it by the battery disconnect method, you could wind up with a security lock on the radio. Also, trying to clear the Check Engine light just before emissions testing may result in the emissions testing station getting a "not ready" indication from your OBDII system when you attempt the test. This will result in a rejection and requirement to retest. The OBDII system must run for a certain period of cycles after it is reset before it will clear the "not ready" indication. This is to prevent emissions test cheats.
