2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

the grand vitara has a large rubber bush at the rear of the lower control arm that bush tears apart and allows the lower control arm to alter steering settings according to bumps in the road THe bushes are around $50.00 aud each and when you add labor at $120.00/hr it is cheaper to buy new lower control arms complete at around $125.00 each aud both arms can be fitted inside the 1 hr labor fee

(in what country ,we are USA are you) direct diesel injection system. our books (pro) cover are cars,not others.. so.... where are you.? the glove box has operators guide, and every lamp is covered. read that yet:? we cant see it unless you post a photo of it, words dont convey how things look well a tall, scan it yet , any time engine looses power we check engine oil level the coolant. then scan it. 1,2,3, bingo or why not get the car serviced as most do.? the warning lamps vary by, engine, transmission and country and laws in each country, regulation them. the glove box book matches all that, so dont loose it , if lost buy one and not be stuck like this.

Download manual there are 2 fuses to the radio,check both of them,{t}is for memory,{l}is for the radio itself

is this stock ? option? or AFTERMARKET hack ? if not stock? get the guy that put it in to fix it. or get the book an your remove system and book. get your mech to figure all this out the expensive way. or? get rid of it , ? Undo all custom mods. STOCK: FSM quotes" the fsm shows scan DTC codes for remote start 2010 eg: P1615, error. and others. ever use a scan tool if car is stock system.? its an option day one, so... learn what you have and say so. Scan the OBD2 scan port. see what error there is. did you know factory system all fail to remote start if the engine controls are showing errors or doors>? that is correct, factory remotes use lots of blocks (saves lawsuits big time)

i guess you didnt open hood and look first? the bulb or the whole assembly (crash damage?) what? open glove box, take out oper. guide it tells you how to change all basic safety related light bulbs. lost that already? Remove cover by popping one side loose with screwdriver (gently) and remove bulb beneath.

you dont know how to test a fuse. and are doing electrical work>? ok , working with out the FSM>?? why do that, its 4 bucks, 1 day pass. the fuses are best tested in live circuit. 12vdc on both sides, key on. bingo or unplugged with any DMM or ohmeter ever made. resistance range Rx1 or RX2 reads near zero ohms is good reads infinity , is bad. open bad, shorted good. end fuse 101;. Sounds like wiring issues. Did you first scan the PCM/? see if you have DTC errors.? the newer cars monitor power now. so not looking missing that boat

if it has one, at all its covered in the operators guide and FSM. did you read the manual yet? the hard parts finding,it, even looking directly at it, its like , not seen. on my 04 , the fsm states, OPTIONAL. and says, remove glove box door. then a clip and it slides out. to you. if you service your own car, why not use a real service manual huh? the FSM. here it is., and on line all the time. Check for Evap System Codes The fuel tank should most likely have about 1 or 2 lbs of pressure & only when the computer runs a test, does the evap purge valve by the engine open, to draw out fuel fumes to be burned in the motor,so NO Vacuum or Pressure at the cap when the car is off I would guess the vent valve solenoid is a possible issue, if you can not fill the tank without the pump nozzle kicking off, or the fuel tank pressure valve is bad Have to have ALL of the Evap System Components tested & the system Smoke Tested I do not know if any of those items can be controlled with a scan tool,asian vehicles do not provide all the data features as we have on say GM Ford & Chry

the main mounting bolts? not guides? caliper mount to knuckle bolts? what torque did you use? in foot/lbs.

1. id bet they are not factory spec bolts
2. or you used the wrong torque page.
3. or your tool is no good. (harbor fright tools?)

use a beam torque tool, it will never fib to you, like cheap clickers do. I promise. specs tighten the caliper pin bolts to 26 ft. lbs. (36 Nm). Bottom bolt there are 4 bolts specs here. above pin banjo 17ft/lbs top B bolts is 61.5 foot lbs. (this came loose at 61 ?) C spec is 5ft/lbs on bleeder nipples. now alternator tack. the rotor is warped so bad it bead the calipers to death. the wheel bearing, is so bad , same. ever check those for run out, and end play? bingo if true. damage and collateral damage are limitless. and rust too. (entropy of all kinds)
