How often to change cvt transmission fluid in 2011 Nissan Juke
I have a nissan juke 2011 with 106,000 miles. my CVT tranny blew and only the dealer can install a new transmission due to the programming per the mechanic. It's $4,000 with taxes. They want to do a complete fuel system service for $250 and a total fluid exchange service for $460. I've been out of work for 8 weeks, the timing is so wrong. I just started work again but the paycheck is not where its supposed to be. I'm scrambling to find the 4 grand to do the transmission...do i really need to do $1,000 worth of fluid with nissan or can my mechanic do it much cheaper maybe a month or two onces I get my feet back on track.
thank you

Location evap canister
Are you sure you need to replace the canister and vent control valve? Do you have specific trouble code? Trouble codes associated with those components are sometimes jut due to loose connections/fittings or cracked tubes. Jack up the car and make a thorough inspection of tubings and fittings. If you have to disconnect tubings, make sure you mark them as it can get complicated if you make a mistake.

Did u notice the smell right after oil change ?I so they might have spilled some on the exhaust manifold or on the motor itself ... If this is a strong odor return to where the oil was changed and ask them to double check everything they didif it wasnt them maybe they can find out what is indeed making the smell.. good luck hope this helps
2011 Nissan Juke Sl
nissans are known to have bad mass air flow sensors. and they cost up to $500 to replace. i would ask for a new car because you shouldn't have ANY problems this soon. good luck.
