I am having overheating problems with my BMW
well this depends on what engine you have, i have a 316i e46 and has a 1.9ltr engine, if that is the same it might be the engine thermostat has stuck and need replacing, thats the good news, the bad news is it could be your head gasket, 1.8ltr engines were prone to blowing the head gasket, look in the rad water bottle to see if there is any oil residue in there, and also take off the oil filler cap to see if its a creamy colour thats your worse senario, but its proberbly just the engine thermostat

Installing Tire Pressure Monitoring in Older Wheels
I wanted to install the Hella TC-400 tire pressure monitoring system on a set of '80s vintage Alpina wheels to be used on my '72 2002tii. Older wheels are not necessarily suited for mounting the valve stems that incorporate tire pressure senders. The people at TireRack were very helpful and sent me a dead sender that I could use for a trial fitting. I mounted the valve/sender in the wheel and sent them photos showing the mounting angle etc. It all works fine! Please make sure your tire mounting person knows what they are doing and warn them that you have the senders mounted. See http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/detail.jsp?ID=51
Now I have a modern tire pressure system on a 38-year-old car!

WHEN DRIVING ALONG IN MY
Have the alternator checked, with the head lights on,and the heater motor on high, the alternator should read 13.65 volts,to 14.25 volts. If it is any lower than this, then the alternator is bad, test it with the engine running. If the alternator is not producing enough volts, the engine will loose power, and soon the instrument panel will start acting up.The alternator now days is not just for the battery to be recharged, but for the ignition, and instruments. The lose of power is a good sigh for this, have it checked(alternator)while the car is acting up.

My key does not open or lock my doors remotely had
You do not say what year your car is, here is standard programming for most bmw,s,after battery or key replacement or malfunction.
Unlock car, enter, make sure all doors boot etc are closed.
Switch ignition on and off, remove key.
PRESS AND HOLD unlock button.
Press lock button 3 times in 10 seconds
Release unlock button
Some models led flashes in key for 10 seconds
Later keys central locking will lock unlock rapidly to confirm reset.
Later keys without led has no battery replacement,as it charges as you drive. So if you have this type charge before reprogramming

I have a bmw 316
might be drain plug washer or could be a leak from higher up the engine. get it cleaned off using some gunk remover and low pressure hose then watch for easier indication of actual leak.
