Not something I would recommend doing at home unless you have a strong electrical automotive background. You will need wiring schematics/color codes to start. If equipped with a security system, you will need to by-pass it. Air bag can be deployed if wrong wiring used. Have a pro do it. I have seen first hand the do it at home installations and the unnecessary expense that sometimes comes with the improper installation

I would try a replacement used lock/unlock switch panel before anything else,it would cost almost nothing used and usually fixes this problem,and the switch panel pops out easily for replacement Next possibility would be a broken wire where the wires flex at the door hinge area.Grab one wire at a time and pull firmly until you find a broken one. Make sure the replacement switch panel is a known working one.

Sounds like a blown head gasket. That will push the water out of the engine, and get you exhaust instead.

Just 2 ways to do it. Pull it up. Look at where it goes into the seat. The cover will have to slits in it. This is a button to push in to release it. No slits. Push it back down and forcefully pull it up and pop it out. It is held in with a detent clip/ball.

It is located under the hood, it has 2 large connectors going to it. It is under the air cleaner housing lid for cooling.. See diagram

have you made sure the connetor is pushed fully in and that you haven't knocked other connectors making them loose ? also check for the fuse for day time running lights your owners hand book will tell you which fuse it is

I can't say all the parts will be interchangable, however, a lot will be.

get a gas cap their cheap

Its a long way from the gas tank to the engine so you need a fair bit of cranking. Also, if it ran dry, it means the pump also was running dry after it stopped. The gas lubricates and cools the pump, so you may have wrecked it. First thing, check that fuel is being pumped. Then check the pressure.

Hi have you had any joy finding fault I have the same problem with my Maxus. I've replaced endless stuff even main pump ,narrowed it down to crank position sensor.but sensor is fine there should be a 5v feed but there isn't one ,checked wire back to ecu and its ok. But carnt see it being fault on ecu van drives and performs great once running.
