I need to replace the
This is a job u can do yourself, here are a few hints, first clean the top of th engine so you can see everything that needs to be removed, then start by moving hoses and other over the valve cover item out of the way, if poss don't remove them, just disconnect enough to get at the VC cover retaining bolts, on the hoses mark them so you know where they go back to, this is a common mistake, if poss take pictures of work so when u are done it can be put back like it was and u don't create any other problems, once the bolts are removed that retain the cover to the cylinder head use a putty knife and gently pry the cover up, it will most likely be stuck, go around the edge's of the cover and pry evenly, be careful not to damage the sealing surface, after it is removed clean all the grease and oil off and the gasket surface until you have clean aluminum, then use a tacky gasket sealer to hold the new gasket in place, the product for this is called "High tac" it is made by Permatex, ask all parts stores carry it, once the cover is laid back on the engine install the retaining bolts and finger tighten, then evenly tighten them down, don't over-tighten!, a rule of thumb is to grasp the toll at the front with the palm of the hand and use the power of your wrist to tighten them, if you have a Torque wrench 15 ft pound will do, from here on out refer to pictures as ness and assemble in reverse order.
