to effectively remove the fault code there has to be a repair of the item that the code refers to. just putting the light out fixes nothing

that switch should be in the shifter assembly but i have my reasons to doubt that it is the issue. on some systems, that is a sign of a code that was stored.get the codes pulled and go from there.

where the battery goes inside, make sure the solder is well connected to the clip that holds the battery in place. If 1 side is lose re solder it with a solder gun just heat up the old silver.
