I'm not an expert on the Aura, but most Saturn engines have the knock sensor on the back of the engine near the firewall. It'll be almost right in the middle.

Who told you , was it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ? Rather then just replacing parts why don't you take it to a qualified repair shop . Besides , the new module need's Programming and Setup , and a factory scan tool to do it .

The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Install a scan tool. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF. With the scan tool, select Body. Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Select Module Setup. Select Program Key Fobs. Select the key fob desired to be programmed. Follow the scan tool on screen instructions. Remove the scan tool. Exit the vehicle. Operate all functions on transmitters to verify correct system operation.
Engine sputters and hiccups when driving
Sounds like you have a cylinder misfire. Is check engine light on ?, Have you had the vehicle somewhere to get a code scan? My assumption is that you have an ignition problem that is causing the rough idle and jerk feeling while driving.
Take the vehicle to a shop and have them diagnose the driveability problem that you are having.
What is the name of the outer ring that has copper wires behind it? its around the cylinder key lock and its the ring surrounding the part that says ACC n ON?
This is part of the anti-theft system , immobilizer ! The vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system functions are provided by the theft deterrent module (TDM). When an ignition key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and the ignition is switched ON, the transponder embedded in the head of the key is energized by the exciter coils surrounding the ignition lock cylinder. The energized transponder transmits a signal that contains a unique value, which is received by the TDM. The theft deterrent control module then compares this value to a value stored in memory, learned key code. If the value is correct, the TDM sends a random generated number to the transponder. This is called a challenge. Both the transponder and the TDM perform a calculation on the challenge. If the calculations match, the TDM sends the fuel continue password via the serial data circuit to the engine control module (ECM). If either the transponders unique value or the calculation to the challenge is incorrect, the TDM will send the fuel disable password to the PCM via the serial data circuit. The components of the VTD system are as follows:It is a theft deterrent module !
