How do i change spark plugs on 1999 grand marquis

Remove the coils one at a time and replace the plugs under them. The coils are tucked under the fuel rail but you don't have to remove the rail, the coils will come out.

Why don't the headlights work on my 2009 Mercury Marquis?

Could be a fuse, the on / off switch, the relais, defective cable or connector, or both bulbs are defect. Use a multimeter to check if any of the needed 12 volt comes through, step by step.

Why dose the abs brake light on dash come on when I am not braking

Open the fuse panel by pulling down on the fuse panel cover in the driver's side footwell. Locate the fuse for the ABS sensor using the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover. Pull the fuse for the ABS using the fuse pullers in the fuse box. Check the fuse for the ABS. If the fuse is broken or damaged in some way, then replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage. The ABS light could come on if there is a short in the system and it blows the fuse. Turn the ignition to the "On" position but do not crank the engine. If the ABS light comes on, crank the engine. If it stays on for more than five seconds, there is a failure in the ABS system, and it needs to be serviced by a professional mechanic. GM Tech2 GM Diagnostic Scanner with 32MB Card and TIS2000

I need to know how to fix the oil change light

Hi!!

The person that changed the oil should have resetted the light.

Just drive to an AutoZone store, ask for somebody to check your vehicle computer codes, once they check them up, ask them to reset the change oil soon light, they would do this at no charge. This is a free service they offered to all their customers.

Don't forget to rate this post. Good luck!!

When do I need a tune up? Spark plugs etc.

Since the 1990s a tuneup has more or less become obsolete. The spark plugs should be changed between 50,000 and 100,000 miles, along with the serpentine belt and radiator hoses. Not much else is designed to be serviced. Your owners manual should have the company recommendations for mileage intervals.

Dome light inside 2009 mercury marquis won't go off. What can I do?

Common Mercury problem, a sticking door ajar switch inside one of the door latches. Get you some WD40 and spray inside all the door latches making sure you use a good amount on each, operate each quite a bit, 5-10 times to let the WD40 work on each. This should take care of the problem. Repeat if you need to get results.

2009grand marquis 64,000 miles on

A few things to check:
Make sure the tire pressure are correct, you will find a white sticker on the drivers door jam that lists the proper inflation for both front and read tires, or it may also be listed in the manual. A good rule of thumb is 32psi.
Also make sure that your air filter is not clogged or very dirty. It is very easy to replace if necessary.
If you have not had an alignment in a while you can also get an alignment check to make sure you are going as smoothly down the road as possible.
Though it is no miracle cure you could try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner from a place like Advance or AutoZone.
And, although none of us want to admit it, a lot of effeciency is lost in how we drive our cars. The easier you accelerate and the less time you spend quickly changing speed the better mileage you will get.
If all of these are good or do not help in any way perhaps you should take it to a dealership and see if they can do a once over on the vehicle and see if they spot any issues.
