Could be a number of things, It's an 8 year old vehicle, I'll assume close to or over 100K miles? When was the last coolant flush on the car? It could be a sticking T-Stat, but my 1st guess would be that you have 2 fans, one for the regular operation of the car and then a 2nd for the AC unit, I would thing maybe the fan or sensor is out out on the AC fan causing the car to get hot.

I think in this cas a data reading scanner may be helpful. I think when both sensors fault at the same time the cause would be possibly a fuse blown or a vacuum leak. The vacuum leak would cause the sensors to fault to lean and may not even allow the computer to view them as opperational.

Engine oil change is separate from Transmission fluid. You may have to reset light for new oil change counter since you put in fresh engine oil or ignore change light, write mileage down.

Transmission behavior and using fluid can be signs of leaks. Engine sputter can also be engine drawing in fluid and trying to burn it as fuel. This fluid will confuse the O2 sensors as it burns(engine shudder). Look for possible vacuum line coming from transmission; don\'t know this Model well, but if Vacuum lines comes from Transaxle, then unplugging line to check for fluid will reveal leak. Lines to transaxle to cooling with Radiator should have fluid in those lines. Can leak after vibrating loose.

Oil filter, lengths are sometimes different to make changing filter easier.
