1998 lexus gs300 runs at 2800 rpm at 65 mph
At a steady 65 mph, the torque converter clutch (TCC) is engaged. When you accelerate, the ECU disengages the TCC to gain extra torque for acceleration and then re-engages TCC when speed is steady. Its kind of like having an extra gear.
Timing Belt
The biggest killer of timing belts is oil and that will reduce the life considerably. if the oil seals-hydraulic adjuster - and idlers were not replace at the same time then the belt will suffer premature failure. You can check it your self . Check if there is oil in the case around the belt and feel the belt and if it leaves a black oily mark on your fingers then you have got good advice . The area has to be clean and oil free and the belt has to be dry .
Starting problems
the first suspect would be the timing belt but a head gasket could be leaking , with that many miles several things come to mind. a clogged catalytic converter , worn valves , piston rings . have the timing checked .
Car turn off
Have the distributor ignition module tested/replaced and test the coil as well as it appears that the unit/s are overheating and failing

A\c blinking
Have an auto air condition mechanic check the inlet and outlet pressures on the compressor. Check for gas leaks
POWER WINDOWS
check for a broken wire inside the boot that runs from the drivers door to the body.
No tail or dash lights- won't shift into reverse or drive
Putting the battery in backwards can cause all kinds of electrical problems. There is a fuse block under the hood and you should check those fuses. Also there are fused links (wires) that are designed to fail and they are hard to detect. This could be a very expensive repair.
ANTITHEFT RADIO
With no antenna or bad antenna you would get a hiss instead of music when using the radio, but when playing CDs you would hear music.
If the amp or wiring or all of the speakers have a problem, it could stop all sound.
Fuse location
u have 1 floor board drivers side usually also another 1 under hood drivers side.
