How do you replace the thermostat in a 1991 Honda

c8cfdc0.jpgthis is an exploded view of the thermostat. it is located below the throttle body. youll need to remove the air intake tube and the lower radiator hose. there will be alot of coolant come out when the radiator hose is removed and slightly more when the thermostat is removed. rememeber to refill the engine with coolant and let the engine heat up enough for the cooling fans to cycle twice .

My car will not start, doews not turn over. tested

You put a new battery in and it still does nothing?? Check your terminals, the inside should be nice and clean, scrape them with a knife or wire brush, make sure the wire that is bolted to the terminal ends are clean, not all crusted up, if you have to, take them apart and clean them, wire brush, baking soda and water will dissolve the acid. Then put it all back tight, try the starter, if nothing, the same can be true of the starter motor connection, check that. Then if it still won't turn over, do you have an anti theft switch somewhere you forgot about?? One more thing, most cars have a fusible link in the positive line next to the battery, like a fuse, check that first. It might be blown.

Heater does not work blowing cold air

Don- not much info to go on, so lets assume a few things...like coolant level correct, engine warms up, etc. First, in the engine compartment on the firewall there is a valve on one of two hoses that run thru the firewall. Are the hoses warm...if so, is the cable attached to the valve and does it move when you raise/lower the heat on the dash control. If not, take the radio out and look at the heater control mechanism. There are several plastic levers & arms that you should be able to see. Move the heat selector back and forth and insure that they are are moving and not broken / disconnected. If not repair as required. The longer arm has a habit of getting out of the groove and causing this condition. If none of this works, write back with an little more detail as to what you have found. Hope this helps.

Leakes oil

First take the car to a car wash and clean the bay to the best of your ability with hot high pressure soap and water. be sure to avoid direct high pressure water to electronics and other electrical components. Wait a few minutes before starting up the car. Drive it around another day and see where the oil is coming from. Chances are its probably the valve cover gasket set and your distributor O ring. It could also be your oil pan gasket. Both arent too much work to replace if you have the tools.

1990 crx base model honda civic want start

I would suggest an ignition module. If it is a rough idle at startup I would check the throttle position sensor. You can check that by starting the car and unplugging the TPS. If the car runs differently then chances are it is working fine.
