I would look to the blend door actuator. Sounds like the left side has an issue.

Hello f poll: My name is Roger and I will help you. There is no fuel filter that you can easily get to. GM did not install a replaceable filter. The only filter for your GMC is located inside the fuel tank. To replace it would require removal of the fuel tank. What that means is this. When you replace the fuel pump you will replace the filter at the same time. The pump and the filter are a module unit. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Not familiar with the envoy, but most all GMC trucks have a alarm reset button under the dash by the steering column to reset after battery problems. Why did you change the battery? It may also be your starter has shorted out which will set off the alarm. Good Luck

Do you live in a dusty area? My sister lives in dusty New Mexico and had a malfunctioning XUV tailgate. My reasoning was that something must tell the tailgate not to drop down if the glass is up, and if it can't tell, then it will only open sideways.
So we removed the trim panel, and the tailgate was indeed full of dust. By reaching my arm in, I found two plastic optical sensors which tell the gate whether the glass is up or down; both were coated with dust. After cleaning these the tailgate was back to its normal operation. The two sensors are flat, round - about the size of a nickel or dime...I couldn't see them, just found them by guessing that they must be there. Hope this helps!

Got a new vehicle Joe. Just what you need with the gas prices as high as they are!! Did you get rid of the 1998 Ford Contour? Foot on the brake and go though the full shift range and then back to park. That should release the ignition lock. It appears to be a known issue. dis-connect both battery cables from the battery. Touch them together and re-connect them to the battery. remember disconnect both, don't be lazy and only disconnect one.

The fuel level sensor is in the gas tank, and if it needs to be replaced, the tank must be removed from the truck.Does your gas gauge work correctly? If not, there could be a bad connection at the tank/sensor or the sensor itself is defective.

when ever you replace ECM computer, you must take out your CHIP , to put it into your new ECM. did you do this ?????? if not your engine will not run ,even with GOD turning the key .

The air pump in a 2005 envoy is located next to the frame approximately underneath the driver's feet. You will see rubber hoses coming down into this component.

I also have a 2002 Envoy. Shifting to and from 4wh and 4wa can be done on the fly but shifting to 4wL has to be done stoped and while in neutral. Try that. Otherwise I'm afraid its a new computer for you. Its located under the left rear seat and you need a loan for one.

Reduced engine power is a problem with the electronic throttle control . You need to have a scan tool hooked up to read codes stored . REDUCED ENGINE POWER: Refer to Powertrain Control Module Description in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a problem with the throttle actuator control (TAC) system the PCM enters one of the following Reduced Engine Power Modes: • Acceleration Limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however the vehicle acceleration is limited. • Limited Throttle Mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however the maximum throttle opening is limited. • Throttle Default Mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator. • Forced Idle Mode--The control module will perform the following actions: - Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off. - Ignore accelerator pedal input. • Engine Shutdown Mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

Hello. Your GMC's oil pump at the bottom of the engine block; covered by the oil pan. To access it; drain the oil and remove the oil pan. The 'oil pickup tube' is bolted to the oil pump 'cavity'. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
