Diahatsu recommends 5W30 SAE or 10W30 either semi-or fully synthetic. Fully synthetic is better oil. Whether you choose 5W30 or 10W/30 depends on your climate. If you have frequent days before zero C, 32 degrees Fahrenheit, you may opt for the 5W30; otherwise, the 10W30 in the one you'll want. Selenia oil tends to be the least expensive of the synthetics and it's a fine oil. (I buy mine at Carefour Suermarket.) FUCHS is also very good and doesn't dent your pocket book. Mobil 1 and Vavoline are quite expensive in Europe, and Motul and ENEOS are outrageous.

The spark plugs are high up on top of the engine. You will probably need to remove the air filter box to get access to them. I'm not sure if the box is bolted down or a 'pull off' type. They are covered by the plug shaped coil packs. These just pull out and push back in. The attached photo has them marked with a red circle.

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your Daihatsu service centre andget them to enter this code for you.

Check condition of distributor cap and/or hall sensor in distributor cap. or condition of fuel filter suction pulls crud into filter and settles when no suction
