Gm engine trouble code 43 trouble shooting

Code 43 is electronic spark control. ESC module is not receiving a knock signal from knock sensor. Check knock sensor/wiring, check ESC (parts store can check for you). That's what the book says to do. On my personal vehicle I got a code 43 and the problem was a bad oxygen sensor.

I have a 1991 chevy truck, I am getting no spark.

check to see if your truck has a crankshaft position sensor, its usually located behind the harmonic balancer or right near there, if the sensor went bad or if the wiring got messed up there will be no signal to the ecm telling the ecm when to send spark to the coil. the crankshaft position sensor is responsible for telling the computer when to fire the spark plugs based on rpm and timing. check the wires on the crankshaft position sensor, if they look fine, replace the sensor, hope this helps!

96 chevy truck, fuel pump relay switch (located under the hood, driver's side wheel well) keeps shorting out and melting fuse panel

I would replace the fuel pump and the fuel pump connector, both have problems in this year that cause excessive current draw and blow the fuse and overheat the system. If the relay socket terminals are discolored from heat that must be replaced as well. Of course before replacing any parts have a GM dealer confirm the problems i have guessed are to the cause.

Where is the turn signal relay located on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 he

Doesn't use a flasher relay , computer controlled . Turn Signal/Hazard Lamps When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal switch to the BCM. When the hazard flasher switch is activated, a ground signal is completed from the turn signal/hazard switch to the BCM. The BCM then sends an ON-OFF voltage signal through the fuses to the appropriate turn signal and side repeater (export only) lamps or to all of the turn signal fuses for hazard operation. The driver door switch and passenger door switch also receive voltage from the BCM turn signal supply voltage circuits for the mirror turn signals. The door switches have no function or control of the mirror turn signals other than a pass through connection for the circuits. The audio chime is also activated when the turn signals are ON. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) receives the signals to activate the turn signal indicators over the GMLAN serial data system. When the hazard switch is pressed, all turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn indicators.

I have a Chevy 2500

firing order for 5.7 v8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 mostly all of the chevy v8s are the same firing order. the rotor button in distributer turns clockwise, the cylinder numbers are 1-3-5-7 on drivers side, 2-4-6-8 is on passengers side. To get started get your distrutor cap[new one] look on the top you will see a #1that's where you begin you must know if if rotates clockwise or counter clockwise start in that direction then follow the firing order and cylinder line up. good-day!! if cap is not marked, just pull out #1 plug, put a straw or similar in plug hole on top of piston. turn engine over by crank in front of vehicle with a wrench, when the piston comes to the very top just before it starts going down. this is tdc. and rotor button should be pointing to #1 wire on dist, cap. follow from there. good-day !!

I have a 1996 chevy silverado 2500 every once in a while it will stop running, when i pull the fuel pump relay out and put back in it starts back up. it is very warm to the touch, just noticed today tha

I would just replace the relay. Then if it still happens, your fuel pump is drawing too many amps. Causing the relay to overheat and shut off. Time to replace the pump, before it dies on you.
