Battery is turning over but car wont fire
Three things are true of all gasoline cars:
1) Spark?
2) Compression?
3) Gas?
Check these three, and figure out what's missing?! In this example your Alfa, and a Chevy are equals! When you crank the engine the fuel pump relay should be "hot" meaning closed circut, and the pump should have at least 12.5+VDC going to it. As for the spark pull the plugs, lay them on the V/C cover, and if you crank it (not too long), you should see a spark on all four/6 plugs. Then lastly use your (or borrow a friends "Compression gauge" to see how many PSI/Cylinder you have to work with.

How do i replace outer cv boot on alfa 156
Remove tire, remove brake caliper, and hang on suspension with a tie, remove lower suspensin from lower A-Arm, then with a "Breaker Bar" or Impact Gun Remove the nut in the center of your rotor, and you should be able to remove the axle from the hub. The old CV boot you can just cut off, and after a good clean, reinstall the new boot (I recommend you add some CV Grease as long as it's exposed to lubricate the joint), then slide new boot on.
Instruction changing timing belt 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloz?
With Cam Caps loosened, FIRST loosen timing chain tensioner, press it in to loosen tension, Crank using ratchet to TDC (Top Dead Center on crank pully, (to keep from damage to pistons), align Exhaust Cam Timing Mark to mark on #1 Exhaust cam cover, then take up slack between Exhaust & Intake Cams (on top between the cams), Then align the Intake Cam to mark on #1 Cam Cap, "Now" loosen the 17mm bolt to tighten timing chain, rotate engine using rachet two times, reset TDC at the crank, and look at "Cam Timing Marks on both the Exhaust, and Intake Cams. If you did all this correctly the "Timing Marks" should be lined up so TDC,Exhaust, and Intake marks are all the same.
Speed works sometime
You need the system monitored with a live data scanner to see if the vehicle speed sensor signal drops out, if it does it is the sensor, if it is ok then the speedometer must be removed and sent out for repair.
