Have you checked with HD to see if yours is part of the Fuel Pump recall?

This vehicle does not have king pins. There are a lot of front end parts that go bad. Ball joints, stab links, sway bar bushings. Best bet would be to have a proffesional take a listen to it.

I fixed a Kawasaki three wheeler once, with the same problem, by installing an inline electric
fuel pump. I also installed a clear see though fuel filter after the pump. I like to see what is going
on inside the fuel line.
First I would install the see through filter,,, then go from there.
