Squeeze the break handle on the right side then try. Your neautral switch may not be working and it thinks your in gear. By applying the right hand break you over ride the sensor and if she starts you have your answers. The in gear sensor will cut spark so you don't have a run away machine on start up.

It's in the side case of the motor. You should see 3 wires coming out of the top of the side case and you can hook up a light tester to one of the wires and try starting the bike to see if its generating power

2004 Yamaha Kodiak 400 ATV. It does not start. The starter clicks like a car battery does when battery is drained. A new battery lasted only a month or so.

Get a battery tender to put on the battery when you aren't using it to keep it fully charged. Check battery connections and grounds.

Check the starter relay plus the starter and solenoid.

Call an auto electrician. The videos may help diagnosis.

Have a 1994 Kodiak 400 and have no fire to coil and no spark what do you think that is

It is most likely gonna be the cdi inside the motor. Those are famous for going out. It's not a bad change tho. The part is about 250 dollars and you'll need a new gasket and oil. And really that's all.
