SOURCE: my 94 sl1 burn oil about 2 qts /wk. its now

if engine burning 2 quarts a week no oil leaks time for a over haul.check pvc valve shake it if rattle its good if not replace it. change valve seals. because if they are leaking they will cause oil to leak bt them burn with gas. also change plugs and wires.if this dont work . time for over haul.

SOURCE: 2010 Vibe Type & Quanity of Eng Oil

The 5-30W gives the oil a better heat range, so when you go to Florida, the engine oil keeps it's viscosity better.
The 5-W20 has a lower heat range and is great in the upper states and canada where the temperature is not as hot as Florida or Texas.
The 0-W20 is even better if your in the colder climate like Alaska so the oil is not that thick, and when you have the start the engine first thing in the morning, the oil can move quicker to the upper part of the engine.
Best thing is no matter what oil you use, just as long as you follow the recommended oil change duration. Your going to be fine and have a long lasting engine and also make sure you warm up the engine first before running it hard to have the piston and cylinder walls expand the same time. As you run the engine hard when it's cold, the pistons expand quicker then the cylinder walls and after a few years. The pistons and cylinder walls will have to much play and you get piston slaps till the engine warms up.
Good luck and hope this helps and the 5-W30 is more forgiving if you go over a few miles between oil changes.

My primary clutch started knocking and shut my 08 rzr 800 off. Pulled it home n now engine is locked. Pulled primary off and starter. What could cause this?

Hello, Either a nut on one of the mainshafts has come off ..or.. you have a primary gear that has cracked a tooth (or worse) and won't let the gears turn. Sounds like it's time for a professional mechanic... good luck!!

Side by side 2009 800 Rzr When the transmission is hot,it does’nt get in gear when put on th? « H » setting what ils m’y probl?me here. It do that only this position and when us warm

Not for sure, but if you belt is hot and you put it in H for HIGH then the gear multiplication may be such that it slips and won't pull because the gear is too high. By putting it in R for Reverse or L for Low you will get a lower gear ratio and it might pull the Rzr even though it is slipping. I would check the belt and the primary and secondary clutch adjustments.

Polaris rzr 800 burning 1 qt of oil every 200 miles

If you're burning oil, you likely have either bad rings or valve stem seals. Either way, you will probably need an automotive machine shop...unless you've done this sort of repair before. In that case, good luck.
