Wouldn't be a throttle cable issue. How long has the bike sat? If it was a while you probably got bad gas or gunk in the field line / filter / carb . Try loosing the fuel cap to eliminate the possibility of a bad vent valve not allowing air in the tank fast enough. Then if that isn't it and the gas isn't bad try flipping the fuel on off under the tank to reserve. If it works then your issue is a plugged on off res switch , next pull the fuel line off and blow through it. If it's plugged a little it'll be hard to blow through. Next step if not those is to remove the float bowl and inspect the float to see if it drops and rises without getting stuck if not then your gonna have to soak it in seafoam over night. One other issue that can be causing a problem is a loose ground. When the bike starts to move the ground may be shaking just enough to cut the power. Happened on my boat and darn near drove me crazy.

this typically comes down to basics. you engine needs air, fuel and spark to run. FUEL - pull the main fuel hose in to the carb from gas tank and turn on to be sure fuel is getting to the carb. SPARK - next pull out spark plug and while still connected to igntion cap, touch end of plug to motor and turn over engine. if you do not see spark, this is your issue and is usually the most common issue. if spark is present, spray starting fluid into the spark plug hole, reinstall plug and try to start, if it trys to start as in starts then dies, your not getting fuel past or from your carb. Clean carb. AIR - last but not least check your air filter and insure it is not clogged or obstructed and is allowing air to the engine. As for no spark, the can be many issues from a bad CDI ignition coil or generator/stator to just a bad kill switch or cut/unplugged wire.

SOURCE: hi i have a dinli

I assume that is a 100cc, 2 stroke ATV? If the starter motor is spinning, and you just don't have any spark. First, replace the spark plug. If that doesn't fix it, then you may have one of the following problems: Bad CDI, Kill Switch or Rip Cord Shut off switch, Frayed wire shorting out, cracked/damaged spark plug cap, bad coil or coil wire, bad stator. My bet is on the kill switch and/or Lanyard/Rip Cord shut off switch or the CDI. You can bypass your shutoff switches to see if they are the problem by either disconnecting the wires or connecting them together(depending on the type of system you have). CDI's routinely fail on small engines and generally cost about $20-$70, depending on the style. www.solanocycle.com

Could be a spring or it could be a gear or it could be an adjustment. I don't know where you live. In my area, opening up a engine case is at least $100.00. As you consider the situation, keep in mind that there may be broken parts floating around in your crank case/gear box. A broken part in the gears in the transmission will be lots more than the $100.00. You don't mention anything about make, model or year of your motorcycle, btw, making a more definitive response impractical.

Your best coourse of action may be to go to the local motorcycle shop and speak with the service writer about your problem. That will be no charge.

Cutting out

Hi Thomas only thing I can think of is that its not getting enough air is it the right filter as it may be not be allowing enough air through. As you probably know if you don't get the right amount of fuel & air it won't run right. Hope it helps cheers Paul
