I have a 2006 Polaris sportsman 700 that will not start. I have installed a new fuel pump, injectors and spark plugs.

How old is your gas?
First thing I would do is drain or siphon out as much of the old gas and start with new gas from a gas station not out of a can with >6mos old gas in it. Gas degrades over time, losing its octane and turning to varnish. Do you use Sea Foam or Sta-bil?
Stay away from E rated gasoline especially E15 or E85 if its sold where you live.

do you have spark? if not I'd start checking the safety interlocks, kill switches, key, etc

2002 Polaris sportsman 700 we parked it and went back out to start and it cranks now but won't start

Check all the switches.. kill switch/etc..

Check the spark plugs... you may have fouled them..

Fuel gauge flashes need fuel most of the time

Gary, Faulty fuel pump sending unit. Most of the forums I checked say this a big problem with Polaris, most say the pump and sending unit have to be bought as a assembly.

Starts with prime or starting fluid wont stay running good gas flow to injector

You need to put a gauge on your fuel pump to test your fuel psi just because you have gas to your injector doesn't mean you have the right amount of pressure.

How do I replace a fuel filter on a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 450

The part you should have got would be #2520464 from polaris, this is a quick disconnect filter that is located not in the tank, but under the frame just behind and above the radiator. if you take your front box off you'll be able to get a good look at it. pretty easy to install. As for the tank, polaris doesn't offer service parts for thier pumps, which have a screen on them

At full throttle it starts to miss and lung back and forth

if its EFI its an injector, it not fuel injected, its a carb issue

With 42 hours on my 2006 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI, the fuel pump quit working. Replacement was $592.00. A letter to Polaris was no help. They said it was out of warranty. Subsequent investigation...

Write a letter addressed to the President of Polaris explaining the events leading to replacement. Keep the letter open without demands. This may result in a positive solution from partial o full reimbursement.
