I started with an answer but it probably got sent before I was finished. It could be your computer breaking down as it heats up. I have fixed things by spraying the component with freeze spray and then trying. That is after it heated up and engine stopped. There are components that do break down when heated if they are malfunctioning. There are sensors that may act similar to a capacitor and breakdown after heating up. You may if you have got a service manual try some sensor that are in the start section. I. think one is used instead of a timing light and is still fixed on or near the fly wheel. Another may be in the throttle section. A condenser is nothing more than a large capacitor so that is a good place to try as well. Capacitors do breakdown after heating up like that if they are malfunctioning. Components going to coils could also cause the problem. If you have a spare Computer I would try that first. I had a car that would skip and stop and the computer was the culprit. My brother had a timing sensor problem on the flywheel as well. That is if it has one and if not try Condensers by spraying them with freeze spray you can get from Source and other electronic stores. I have fixed many Electronic devices with freeze spray.

Can gas or water get in oil if four wheeler sits on end for a hour?

Being a 2012, I am sure it is fuel injected and not carbureted, so I am sure that there would be no fuel in there. I truly doubt that oil would be in there unless this crash was violent enough to crack a block or head. If it were mine, I would check the oil level, if good, start it and run to operating temperature. Then turn it off and let cool to cold, check oil level, as well as check coolant. If the coolant looks lime green(if it uses green coolant) and not chocolate milkshake brown, I would say you are good to go!

My 2005 Yamaha Blaster will crank and idle for 1/2 hour or a little more then it will just stalls try and restart it will not start it appears that after it cools down it will start up again

Check that the breather in the fuel cap is still working. The breather has a hose with a one way valve.
You should be able to blow air in but not out. I hope that you are moving during that 1/2 hour as these motors require air flow for cooling.

Why does my Ranger not start properly?

Try replacing the solenoid, which is attached to the starter.
To test, run it until hot,let it sit for 5 minutes, try to start. Then, go and tap the solenoid with a hammer ,and try to start again. I bet you it will crank over.

My Suzuki Eiger 400 starts hard then once running is great.

The carburetor choke valve might be stuck open or not closing when the engine is cold. The engine needs a richer mixture to start. Too rich a mixture (flooding) can also cause trouble. Turn the fuel valve off to be sure the carb isn't leaking when not in use. If it smokes black on startup, it's flooding. Also check the condition of the spark plugs.

What does the error code PO119 mean on my 2013 arctic cat 500 atv mean

From Repair Pal:

Auto Systems and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Intermittent Our emissions expert has put together the following information about the P0119 fault code. We have also included diagnostic procedures you can take to your repair shop if the mechanic is having difficulty analyzing the code.
OBD II Fault Code
  • OBD II P0119
Fault Code Definition
  • Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Intermittent
What does Mean? The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor measures the rise and fall of the Engine Coolant Temperature. This provides critical data needed for the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to control the Air Fuel Ratio, the Ignition Spark Timing, the cooling fans, and many components of the Emissions Control Systems. The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor converts the coolant temperature into a voltage that is high when the engine is cold and low as the engine warms up.
Code P0119 indicates an intermittent voltage input from the Coolant Temperature Circuit to the PCM.

Atv will not start

Is your choke working OK? Even in the summer time a cold engine needs a littel choke...more gas than air to get started. But you don't need to keep the choke on for very long in the summer since the engine warms up faster. You could try some carb cleaner or even taken the carb off and cleaning it good because it sounds definitely like a fuel problem so it was a good idea to check the pump and filter.

Try checking valve clearance. I had a Honda that did same thing, Set the valves and would start right up when cold.
