If it turns over quickly, ... does the spark plug fire?,..put in new, correct NGK plug to begin, then make sure you have gas going to the carb, then see if gas flows out of the carb drain, (straight head screw)... gas should flow out freely. If its been sitting,, may need a carb cleaning...JUST CLEANING...NOT "rebuilt"...

So I can start it up and it will idle sometimes and sometimes it wont. When it going I can't run it wide open or it bogs out and if stop even for a second it bogs out

Mine did that. I just had the carburetor cleaned out , and now it runs fine.

No start on bear tracker 250 just backfires

The timing is not adjustable. I would start with a clean air filter, clean carb, good spark plug, check and make sure that your cam timing matches your flywheel.

96 polaris scrambler bared it over and putpiston and ringsit runs for 3 to 4 mins and shuts off and it keeps doing the same thing it wont start right back up until it cools down

when you rebuilt it did you find what killed it? lots of times crank seals go bad causing an air leak and they run lean and ruin the motor. could be happening still.

You could try replacing the ignition coil. If it's failed, then it may run ok for a few seconds, but as it heats up it fails. Trying to start again immediately will be too soon for the coil to have cooled down. Leave it a few minutes to cool down and it will run again, but only for a few seconds again.

How do i set the timng

Change spark plug, no timing on 4stroke quad or trike. Need new gas also. Remove spark plug after trying for a bit to make sure it is getting gas.
