1988 honda fourtrax 2wd makes buzzing noise after shut off

Will it run in other gears? If no, sounds like a carb problem .. have it professionally cleaned and set!!

Make sure all the bulbs are TIGHT in their sockets..(if this is applicable)

Have you tried draining the float bowl and examine for the presence of water?

Bottom out the mixture screw and then turn it out about 2 turns, then fine tune it for best idle.

Sounds like a dead battery , try jumping the starter w a screw driver if it's new it will turn over at least , dead batt or starter solenoid is most likely cause, if your shure your batt is good? Try sanding connections

Spray carb cleaner staight into carb opening at fast idle

probably you have some worn parts in the carb.a rebuild kit would likely help.befofore you do that,you might try adjusting the air screw on the carb and check for air leaks where the carb connects to the cylinder head.
